Sugar Creek Inn, Henderson

I paid $43 including tax. This review compares it favorably to other dives in that price category I've stayed in. It is resonably clean, no bugs, can walk barefoot on the carpet. No odors, non-smoking is really that. I have microwave and frig (not all rooms do, so ask), free internet, desk and round table with chairs, good bed, two nightstands, entertainment center with dresser-type drawers. Furniture is old, but real. Good TV and cable. AC/heat works. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is donuts, coffee, juice. Location can't be beat, right on the "main drag" through Henderson, walking distance of fast food and casual dining. Typical guests aren't objectionable, not a "seedy" type place. Close to Evansville INdiana on US 41. Simple, older budget motel. Don't expect luxury and a hot-tub. Beginning modest renovation. By far the most acceptable I've found anywhere near this price range in this region. Single male, I've stayed several days in a row a few times, and would again. Would bring a family for a night's stay.

I liked the place and the price was right! close to all the parkways and the help there was very nice :)also close to places to eat and across the road from nite spots...and again the price was right! : )

Good price. Could be updated. Would be nice to have a radio in the room. Some curtains could be replaced. Sheets were a little thin.
