Bel-Aire Motel, Muskegon

I have not been brave enough to stay at a motel in years because you don't know what you will get. In fact, I wasn't going to hesitate to spend the $250 a night everywhere else in the area but I couldn't find any vacancies. However, this place has changed my whole perspective! Joan keeps this place so clean and is so accommodating for any of your needs. After driving by these other $250 a night places, these chains would have actually not have met my expectations at any level. This cute little motel did!! We were able to take our dog on this amazing vacation visiting the Kruse dog park and Mi Adventure. There is even a backyard for the kids to stretch their legs. Unbelievable rate, clean rooms, reasonable sized rooms, wonderful hospitality, great location....I can't imagine anything more you would want! We are now planning to repeat this last weekend's vacation because at Bel-Aire Motel the reasonable rates and all the extras made this vacation so reasonable and doable. This motel has exceeded our expectation! Do not hesitate in booking your room but as more people learn about this wonderful place, I'm guessing you will need to book ahead!!! Can't wait to go back and telling everyone we know!!

We traveled with three families and had three rooms. We had a great time. We stayed 3 nights Friday-Monday. MIchigan Adventures Lake Michigna and Grand Haven are within a 15 minute drive. Joan and the staff were great!!!! We saved a ton by cooking our meals there on the (2)gas grills and 20X40 tent with tables and chairs that are provided on the propoerty. All rooms have dorm size refrige & micro wave. Rooms were extremely clean. This is the first motel I have ever stayed in and It was a great experiance. This will be the only place we stay when visiting Western MIchigan again. Extremly family friendly!!!!!!! Thanks the Hulett's

My husband and I needed a room in Muskegon at the last minute. How lucky we were to find ourselves at the Bel-Aire Motel. Not only was the room the most reasonably priced of any we found, but it was lovely, spotlessly clean and homey. There were extra pillows on the comfy bed and the towels were exceptionally large and thick. I wish I had such nice towels at home! The service was excellent as well. Joan, the owner, even left the lights on for us, so we wouldn't get lost when we arrived 2 hours later than expected. From now on, the Bel-Aire Motel is the only place I'll stay when I'm in Muskegon. I highly recommend it.

We were told not to go to this Motel, BUT I gotta tell you. The owner was very pleasant and the Room was very modern and CLEAN. We really liked the pet friendly people, And it was a pleasure to stay here. We plan on staying there whenever we visit our Daughter as she attends Baker College. What a nice place to stay!!!

I felt we had been overcharged, When I called about the room early in the week I had been told they had no vacancies. Then I ask the price of the roon and was told $62.00. When a lady cancelled we were sent there from Comfort Inn. We had to pay $99.90 for one bed. Now I see it is available on google site for $52.00 and we were going to use the room at least every third week possibly every other weeked for the next year Now I have to talk to Joan to get this straight. It is a Clean, Pretty motel with lovely peopl serving us. We loved their dogs and grieved for their loss of Joan's Husband. Ted & Linda Law

Very clean! Very comfortable! Enjoyed all the extra pillows in the room. Will stay there again. Only complaint was the office doesn't open till 7:30 am and I had to leave by seven.

Quiet, safe neighborhood. Inn-keepers take pride in the property and in being hospitable, helpful, and friendly. Very clean. We have stayed in much more luxurious settings and in much sparser settings. But this location and the owners make one feel comfy while you are here. Access to the road system is easy and the location is close to malls, stores, and restaurants. The internet connection works without a problem - very nice. (We have stayed here 4 times this year.)
