You get what you pay for
Location was the only redeeming value for us with this hotel. Got maid service when we put out the sign, but then the sign disappeared, so that was the end of the service! When we DID get service, maybe the bathroom got cleaned up and we got fresh towels and cups, maybe not, we never knew what to expect. Only got two stations well on the TV, there was no remote control, and the blinds were bent so that people could see in. The air conditioner worked, tho, so that was a blessing. Oh, and we were missing half of the lightbulbs! No complaints about the shower, it worked fine, although more towels would have been nice since they knew we had 3 people in the room.
Expected more noise from the lounge, but that didn't happen. The staff member at the desk was very helpful when we arrived, but the staff working when we checked out were slow and didn't know how to check us out; took about 15 minutes to get the credit card through the phone system. They were pleasant enough, but not the slightest bit professional.
But what can you expect for $56 a night? All the other hotels were booked due to it being a Wabash reunion weekend (not what we were there for), so were were desperate. Not a good hotel experience, but heck, we DID have a roof over our heads and a bed to sleep in, and that was it's main function while we were off visiting with relatives all day.
