Clean, but don't ask for extra towels

The place was clean and was of okay value. However, the service was beyond awful. My group of four (one infant) checked in after driving about 8 hours. The room was clean but only had two towels and two wash cloths. The infant needed to be bathed after nature had taken its course and one of the other guest freshened up as well. The following morning, I went to get four towels and wash cloths to bath. Simple enough. As I arrived in the lobby, the front desk attended also doubled as the breakfast preparer. Not a huge issue. When I asked for extra towels and wash cloths, he came back with two. When I said I would need four, he abrasively told me that's all I get. When I explained the room has four guests, he proceeds to tell me I had a set of two towels and wash cloths in the room and the set he gave me would account for four and that's all I would get. Still in disbelief, I proceeded to explain to him I'm not asking for anything unreasonable. He then tells me there are only a certain number of towels per room and how some of his guests have checked in with too many guests. I could have cared less about that. I explained the two towels and wash cloths were used last night. His reply was I should have told him that upfront(Didn't know that was a requirement). In his kindness he brings back one towel! He explains that if a person was to shower three times within a day, was he supposed to provide a towel and wash cloth for each episode! (Call me crazy, but I would answer yes) I left in disgust and checked out as quickly as possible.
