Don't even think about it....
By Marisa, 10/07/08
So, I'm not usually a princess about staying at places and complaining about everything. But you get what you pay for here! The room was ancient, the bathroom was nasty, the sheets had stains on them. We actually went out and bought stuff to clean and spray b/c it was so bad. Our door had a 3 inches whole in it between the frame and the door that obvious light was coming through. I think I've said enough. Trust me, spend the extra few dollars and stay at a nicer hotel!

No Way!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/08
The place was so very dirty! I know that it was one of the few Hotels that took dogs, but my pet is kept in impeccable condition....so much so that I didn't even want her to step into the room!!!!! Sleep on the floor? No way!!!!! I bought two extra blankets and laid them down so no-one had to walk on the floor...even her! I think the person who gave it a five star rating is very suspicious! Absolutely NO ONE could think this place deserves a five star rating when compared to The Wynn in Las Vegas which is rated five stars. Yikes! Pet lovers Beware! Not good for little tykes who might crawl on the floor! Price far too high! Staff needs training in customer service.

Don't think twice!!! Don't Stay at the Serene!!!!
By scottie 2 hottie, 07/18/08
Dirty, not just a little, I mean down right filthy. Pull out couch did not open, you sat on boards, literally. Bathroom mirror was not cleaned the whole time we were there, even before we checked in, there were pubic hairs all over the bathroom when we got there, there was something spilled down the side of the refrigerator before we got there, ask them 3 days in a row for the housekeeping to actually clean it a bit, but they would not. My foster daughter found a piece of popcorn under the couch and tried to eat it, WE DID NOT have popcorn the entire time we were there!! The only bright spot in our stay was Heather, the evening front desk clerk, too bad she did not work for a hotel whose housekeeping staff and management actually cared. Also, they only have 1 Television in there rooms, they advertise Two, however when you get there, they tell you that oh they have not had two t.v.'s in the suites for quite awhile, theyhave just forgotten to update the internet information. Finally, there are holes in the walls everywhere!!!! Not much more to say, except it was a very disappointing stay!!!

This place is a rip off!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/07
This place is filthy! We spent the night in a dirty room. We found all kinds of pet hair all over the room and in our beds, nothing had been wiped down, and the bathroom was gross. They charged us $269 a night. I don't mind paying that amount but not for a dirty room. They wouldn't discount it and when I told them that we would never come back they told me that I didn't matter to them. Nice customer service :(

Great stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
I and my friends stayed there for a few days not long ago. it was an enjoyable stay, that place is great, has a good location, close to the beach and a few nice nightspots, the service is good, staff is friendly, is renovated, big rooms with all you need. I read a few nasty reviews about this place but all I can say is there's nothing like they say...Overall a very pleasant experience!

Away from the hubbub
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/05
The rooms could be upgraded a littel, but over all its a nice place to stay. Close to a quiet end of the beach and if its to hot for the beach sand there is always the pool.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/28/05
The service was rude, the room was not very clean and the cost was not worth it.

Honeymoon Horror
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/30/04
This will always come back to haunt me because it was my honeymoon. We travelled down to Ocean City in August, still in wedding attire on a rainy Saturday night. We had nothing booked, very "spur of the moment". After running through a string of No Vacancies, we happened upon this place. It looked fine from the outside, just like any other motel. The swarthy man behind the counter said there was one room left if we didn't mind a single bed. Being a honeymoon, I didn't think that was a problem. Warning sign: we were not allowed to see the room beforehand. I paid in excess of $100 and was given the key to "room 101A". Right at the top of the steps was what I could call a Janitor's closet. There was a single bed, a metal folding chair holding up a 13" TV set and no phone. The room was about 5 X 10 feet. The bathroom was so confined, when you sat on the toilet your feet were in the shower, but at least you could rest your head on the sink which was to the immediate right. A quick dash back down the stairs to the front desk to complain about this blatant rip-off was met with indifference and something about a no-refund policy. I would like to thank Georgia Belle Hotel for making my wife cry all night during our honeymoon. The next day was spent securing more suitable lodging over at the Coconut Malorie on the Bay. I understand that the Georgia Belle is now under new management, but watch out for room 101A!!!!
