Seahawk Motel-Oceanfront, Virginia Beach

It is in a very good spot near some really good restaurants. Not bad for the price I got, the vacation spot/timeshare people are near here and they do tend to bother you quite a bit while walking. It is really nice for people with kids who have to tote alot of stuff to the beach. Parking is way too small, and the elevator is very slow and hot. They didn't seem to have the air on in the elevator or the hallways. The room itself wasn't bad at all, we all had a good time and the beach view is wonderful. If you have little ones in strollers I would ask for the first floor though, the cleaning lady was mopping and had her mop in the elevator door so no one could get one, and I had to carry a stroller and my toddler that weights about 40 lbs up two flights of stairs. Other than that it was nice, and the pool and kiddie pool were very nice. Hope this review is helpful.

This place is between the Holiday Inn Express and The Courtyard Marriott..private balcony and overlooking the boardwalk,the beach itself at the same time my wallet is still fat.The way I see it compare to the ones above me with bad reviews why bother checking in when u have other choices..there's no gun to your head..why didn't u booked ur stay ahead of time online to the brand name lodging facilities when u have access to the internet since ur writing a bad review..the place is as close to the beach it self and good location for the money they charge u for..get real people u want to pay cheap then u asked can u get a better lower rate than that and u want a Hilton service..his and hers towels then go to the Hilton and pay $400.00 a night..this place is suitable to all..to the ones writing bad reviews like ..."I stayed there before..yada yada yada''...but u didn't say how was ur last visit but ur next visit was hell..what it is..is that the person u wake up to in the morning is hell and ur blaming it on this establishment..this place is awesome hands down..

The location is great. Had a great time. Will stay there again.

My husband and I like the beach to see the water and relax. this was the perfect place for us. The Oceanfront Balconies was all we needed. Room and baths clean. Need a place in the bathroom for toiletries.The pillows wasn't very comfortable.( Bring your own.). We will stay there on our next visit.

We stayed this past weekend.The room was clean,check in was quick and easy.Price was reasonable considering a convention of some kind was going on and a wine festival.Pool was clean/warm.Will definetly be staying there again.Only downside was small parking area.Perfect hotel for ordinary downhome everyday people.I give them 4 stars.

we were a little weary when we read the reviews, but we decided to go for it anyway. the stay was great. the room was nice and clean, the veiw from the balcony was great! also, you cant beat the price. the room was a little damp, why i dont know, and there was no wifi. but other then that, you cant beat it. we stayed at 2 other hotels on past trips and they were @ 50.00 more a night and were exactly the same as far as the experiance. we will stay again for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay at Virginia Beach! The Seahawk was great for the money. It's centrally located in the middle of Virginia beach. We stayed on the top floor (the sixth floor) and it was wonderful. The view was spectacular and there was no noise at all. My only complaint was the elevator was very slow and hot. We took the stairs most of the time. Also, the parking lot was very small. There was barely room to park a car and still be able to get out of the car. The room was pretty comfortable for the money allthough I suggest you take your own pillows or ask your housekeeper for other ones because the pillows were very hard and flat. All in all would stay there again. Could walk right out of the hotel and right to the beach. Would not recommend for a senior citizen. Did not visit the pool, but it did look clean.

I love the location of the hotel and that all the rooms are beachfront. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub though the hot tub had some functional issues the last time we stayed. Our rooms have always been nice and last year the staff made an extra effort to squeeze us in on very short notice. Their prices are very reasonable especially compared to the Holiday Inn right next door. I will always stay here when visiting the beach. The only draw back is that while the staff is usually very helpful they can be a little snippy at times. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives.

I had stayed here in the past only because I knew the pool temperature is always nice and the rates were resonable. But that's the only thing they have going for them. I stayed here this past week end. I was told they had a room available on the first floor and when I asked for a higher up floor I was told it would cost extra. The other times I have always requested an upper floor and was never told such a thing. In all my hotel stays I have never been told it would cost extra for a higher floor. Sounds pretty shady to me. I really feel like there is definitely some dishonesty going on at this hotel. Also, upon checking in I forgot to ask if I could use my AARP discount. So when checking out I ask about using it. I was told "we don't accept that discount, but let me see what rate you were given". They said I already received the AAA discount. Shall I say, yea right!! The only thing they had going for them in the first place was the warm pool, but for the dishonesty I will find another warm pool at the beach! Beware of these people.
