Days Inn Richmond/South, Richmond

We had to visit the McGuire hospital for some medical emergency and this was the closest hotel on map that we could count on. We didn't expect much but surprisingly they had given us nice room on ground floor even on the busy weekend. The staff at the front desk was very helpful too. They were offering continental breakfast but i never needed one! Overall we had a comfortable stay.

I did not like that they came in my room when my do not disturb sign was on the door. Internet connection was not good.

Some of the reviews were scary so we bought our own pillows & sheets, blankets when we arrived & checked in the room was clean. The rate was cheap. The room was neat and the bathroom was clean.

FIRST OFF, Walked up to the counter, The front desk staff including the manager had a problem checking us in...(THE REASON WHY) They gave us a room that was already occupied!!! The front desk staff didn't even show us to the elevator or stairs he just said "its around the corner". SECOND- they shut the phone off in the room so we couldn't use it, even to call the front desk. THIRD-the front desk staff were rude and lazy. UPON LEAVING-asked for a receipt and the male behind the counter said no we can't get you one. The beds absolutely horrible and old! The so called pool wasn't working. Instead of knocking on the door to the hotel room the staff just peaked inside the windows. JUST A COUPLE WORDS OF ADVICE DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

This was a rat hole. It smelled upon entering. When we turned on the air, it smelled like kerosene. The bed linens were threadbare, the blankets all pilly, the pillows lumpy. The tub was as old as the building and the shower curtain as dirty as dirt. There is nothing one could say that would ever make us go back. It needs a complete remodel. When asked if all the rooms were the same or if some were remodeled, the front desk told us they were all the same. So much for trying to move to another room!!! This should be a 1 or 2 star hotel and not a 3 star as advertised. DAS

First of all.... when I went to check in the desk clerk ignored me while he was on the phone, should have been my sign to leave but I didn't. The room rate was $90 which was a comfortable price for me. I was gone in the evening and left my fiance' and daughter to swim. While they were swimming the other guest(s) came down and were talking filthy talk and drinking all around the pool. My daughter was taken from the pool and was very disheartened. We were told my family/friends to make sure we were in before dark because of the neighborhood(scary thought, huh?) The next morning, the toilet was messed up and it was an act of congress to get some help with it because of the language barrier. I will "never" stay at this hotel again. It was not only trashy but the noise was ridiculous. I think I would rather sleep in my car.:(

too many bad bugs. My arms and face were with red spots. durty carpet. There is a swimming pool which is always kept closed. I got my room changed after a fight with the front desk guys but new room was even more horrible.

The room was a handicap room, so it was probably cleaner than the others. The breakfast selection was good, wake up early. Disappointed to pay full price for this room and not have a mini refrigerator in our room. It was Nascar weekend after all and the room served it's purpose for getting rest and being close to the track, but it was not fun living out of a cooler for two days. Next time I will demand the room is equipped with a mini frigerator when I book online, if not I'll move along to the next place with vacancy...Remember you don't have to settle...

IT IS NICE LOCATION FOR SINGLE AND FAMILY EASY TO FIND THE LOCATION. CLEAN-BRIGHT PARKING, LOBBY AND ROOM. BEST RATE WITH MORE FACILITES. GOOD BREAK FAST. EXCELLENT SERVICES. PROPERTY HAS THREE SEPARATE BUILDINGS. WELL EQUIPED SAFTY VIEW POINT. BEST ACCESS TO GO IN AND OUT. FRONT DESK WAS HELPFULL.

It was a nice hotel for me and my family. Front desk was very courteous and breakfast very good,too. This is a definately place family. Check it out.
