The Lodge on Lake Lure, Lake Lure

We loved everything about the Lodge on Lake Lure. My husband and I went for a weekend and absolutely loved it! We can not wait to go back. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is amazing!

We recently visited The Lodge on Lake Lure with another couple and had a wonderful trip. It was so serene and beautiful! It was close enough to visit The Biltmore in Asheville but far enough away do nothing but relax and enjoy the scenery. It was fantastic. I would highly recommend the Inn to anyone. The food was fantastic and the staff so friendly. They go out of their way to keep their guests happy.

The bed and breakfast was a wonderful place. There were beautiful views of the water and the hotel staff was extremely gracious and helpful. Not sure about a prior reviewer who mentioned that breakfast was no longer served as the place is a bed and breakfast. Maybe they were experiencing a problem at the time?? I did not see any other hotels or restaurants within close distance (to which residents might have been referred. Regardless, the breakfast was great. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner, but has wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evening. The butler's pantry also has delicious home-made deserts, coffee, assorted teas, etc. available all day. I had a wonderful stay for an organizational retreat and can not wait to return with family!

This is a great place to stay with a wonderful history. Waterfront with great views of the lake from the rooms on the lake-side. We stayed in the corner room on the bottom floor. King bed with feather coverlet. Wonderful bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower, his and hers sinks, heated floors..... The balcony is very privet, room has large sitting area, wifi, and a small t.v. Owner was very gracious, staff friendly and helpful. Great place for a romantic weekend or a large family or business retreat. Will be back soon!!

I reserved a room with a closet, as all rooms do not have such. When I arrived, unable to go in the front door because of a function in the lobby. When I checked in, I found that my room had no closet. I complained, only to then find that the dining room was closed that evening. I was told that my room with closet had been given to "a wedding party". Breakfast is no longer served in the hotel, but you can go 100 yards in the rain to a cafe to get breakfast and get 10% off on your bill. I will never return. It was great the first time there, but something has changed markedly.

The Lodge at Lake Lure is a true gem in the mountains of North Carolina. The setting is beautiful with breath taking views of Lake Lure. The rooms are decorated with comfort and style, large and luxurious, they are all you could ask for. The glassed in breakfast room with a magnificent view is a lovely way to start the day. I look forward to a return visit.
