Better to avoid
By Big M, 01/14/09
While the location is great, we didn't care for the strong musty room smell, gritty, unclean feel of the bathrooms, the lackluster management.

Not a B&B
By VB, 03/30/08
Looks and says it's a B&B but on the inside, it's a Holiday Inn. The "Breakfast" was one small bagle and a muffin--the kind you buy in bulk and certainly not homemade. There is no dining room where all the guests go to eat but rather, you call on the phone and maid comes with your "breakfast" on a tray. The furniture looks like it walked off the set of "That 70s Show." Liked: Big rooms, a cute window seat that doubled as an extra bed, fresh towels. The bathroom floor had hairs on it. I called 0 for room service but nobody picked up. I walked down to ask for the bathroom floor to be cleaned; had to call back "Barbara," one of the maids myself from the parking lot as she was leaving. All in all, $95 for a large room with two queens on the water is a good deal. But don't be fooled into thinking this is a quaint B&B. It's not.

Breathtaking View
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/07
We went during the down season in October and just loved the way we were taken care of. Breakfast being delivered to your room and enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the water as the sun rises and sipping coffe during a sunset.

Not likely to revisit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/07
The service and staff were very nice. The location was great. But the room smelled old and was not very clean. The bathroom was particularly unclean. The title "bed and breakfast" is a little misleading. You must call for breakfast and it consists of a bagel and muffin delivered to your room. The worst feature was the price, which was disproportionate to our expectations. Not a good value for the price.

Spacious rooms with a great overlook of the down town and river. A very relaxing stay, wish we would of stayed more than one night. It is a unique town!!

Winter Escape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/07
Life had caught up with us but the great staff and cheery room was just the ticket. We visit Clawson's for dinner and enjoyed the town.

Going back soon!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/23/05
We stayed at the Inlet Inn through the July 4th weekend and had a blast! The inn is clean, rooms are spacious, and the people very friendly. Everything is close by and the parking lot is such a great feature. You can watch from the comfort of your porch as everyone else jockeys for a spot in the public parking areas! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I'm actually staying there in a couple weekends for a mini winter vacation. (Oh yeah and as a side thought, the breakfast they serve is quite good)

Great Experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
We stayed at the Inlet Inn last Fall during one of the hurricanes (can't remember which one) and had a great experience. The staff was more than gracious, the room exceptionally clean and homey and can't beat the location. Thanks to everyone at the front desk. We'll certainly recommend you to friends and family.

Wonderful location!
By Leslie, 09/08/05
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Inlet Inn! The only thing we thought was unsual (for a relatively new hotel -- 20 yrs old) was the antiqued smell of our hotel room. It smelled like Grandma's attic...but a little febreeze and we were good to go. The porch off of our room was huge! Beaufort was lovely, although be aware of local business times on Sundays. Also, we couldn't quite figure out the ferry system. We loved that our room was a stone's throw away from the ferry docks, but study ferry accommodations before heading out on one. Lookout Express does not stop at the Cape Lookout lighthouse---more like a drive by. That was surprising for us. Island Ferry Adventures DOES NOT go to Cape Lookout as stated. But for sight-seeing, any ferry will do and boat captains are very friendly. The Inn added to our nice experience in Beaufort. Grounds were relaxing and felt like home. Lots to do within walking distance from the Inn. We will visit again!
