On the spur of the moment my husband Chris and i decided to take a short getaway to Beaufort. We only live a few hours away. When we arrived we found a beautiful, guiet, little getaway made just for us. We stayed at the Inlet Inn. We had a spacious room, comfortable bed, and most specially ad large fireplace. Our balcony offered up a beautiful water view. It was off season (first week in Feb) and the town was quiet. We are anxious to go back. The staff at the inlet Inn were very nice and accomodating. The warm muffins in the morning were the bomb! I highly recommend the Inn and If you want an offseason beautiful lovers hideaway this would be your place.
Location, Location, Location! Park your car and walk to all the Beaufort Waterfront shops and restaurants and enjoy the waterfront view from your own room. Service, Service Service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Value, Value Value. For what you get the rates are very reasonable. For the location and View you would pay a lot more with a chain hotel. Want to test that? Compare these rates with the Marriott Courtyard at Carolina Beach! We liked it so well we reserved for the Seafood Festival in Sept. Downside? Don't know what that is as we were having to much fun to notice anything not up to snuff.
I loved the Inn it was in a GREAT location. I was extremely disappointed when I left my Ipod in the room after check out went back 20 mins after we left to find out it was not there. My room was being cleaned and the Ipod was missing. Not sure if I would return to the Inn because of this situation. Other then this situation it was a great experience.
The Inlet Inn was a nice place to stay. The cost was very comparable to major hotel chains (not bad). I enjoyed having my breakfast brought to my room each day when I wanted it (I just called and it was delivered within minutes). Muffins and bagels were warm and fresh. The OJ was the best I have ever tasted. The staff was very pleasant and willing to assist in any way (additional towels, etc.).
We only had a few small problems. The television’s picture in our room was all green; however the maintenance man quickly replaced it with another TV for us. The only other problem we had was with the sugar ants in the parking lot. They invaded our van. The manager informed us they had been treating for the sugar ant problem.
We WILL be going back next year!
Looks and says it's a B&B but on the inside, it's a Holiday Inn. The "Breakfast" was one small bagle and a muffin--the kind you buy in bulk and certainly not homemade. There is no dining room where all the guests go to eat but rather, you call on the phone and maid comes with your "breakfast" on a tray.
The furniture looks like it walked off the set of "That 70s Show."
Liked: Big rooms, a cute window seat that doubled as an extra bed, fresh towels.
The bathroom floor had hairs on it. I called 0 for room service but nobody picked up. I walked down to ask for the bathroom floor to be cleaned; had to call back "Barbara," one of the maids myself from the parking lot as she was leaving.
All in all, $95 for a large room with two queens on the water is a good deal. But don't be fooled into thinking this is a quaint B&B. It's not.
We went during the down season in October and just loved the way we were taken care of. Breakfast being delivered to your room and enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the water as the sun rises and sipping coffe during a sunset.
The service and staff were very nice. The location was great. But the room smelled old and was not very clean. The bathroom was particularly unclean. The title "bed and breakfast" is a little misleading. You must call for breakfast and it consists of a bagel and muffin delivered to your room. The worst feature was the price, which was disproportionate to our expectations. Not a good value for the price.
