Do You Like Bedbugs?
By Jane, 11/17/09
I have never experienced the worst travel accomodations until I stayed at the Econo Lodge in Bossier City, LA. I brought bed bugs home from this disgusting, degenerated motel. But the worst thing about this is the action of the staff. I first called the motel to report the problem. The employee that I talked to was not even concerned about the problem. He did not ask my name, or the room that I stayed in, and he was totally unconcerned. I called the corporate headquarters only to get the answr that they could not do anything about the problem. The motel would have to take care of the problem. Then I received two letters. One was from the headquarters, and the other one was from the motel. The reply was that they had an exterminator examine the room, and there were no bedbugs. How could they know what room to examine since they did not ask which room we occupied? When I returned home, I had 42 bedbug bites. I had to go to the doctor to get antibiotics, because bedbugs carry various diseases. Then I had to treat the bugs that I had brought home with me. This is an ongoing process because the bedbugs have to be treated for 18 months. I had to pay over $180.00 for the treatment. This is not an easy process. As you treat one area you have to move everything, and then you have to put things back in place to treat the area where you moved things. This has to be repeated for 1 1/2 years. It is my intention to find every hotel rating system on the internet and put this report on all that I can find. Don't EVER stay at this motel. As far as the rating of "Awful" is, this motel doesn't even deserve the Awful rating. It deserves NO stars, not even one.

The Most Disgusting Hotel Ever!
By kourtney w, 03/06/09
I have never experienced such an unkept hotel room. There were large spots of dirt and mold on the floor, carpets, mattress and furniture. The bathroom door wouldn't close unless you lifted the toilet seat first. There were cobwebs, old wrappers under chairs and bedspread. The drawers had a foul odor. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. I asked for towels and received them but some how that meant I didn't want my room cleaned. When I returned to my room later that afternoon, I called the front desk to complain that my room had not been cleaned. I was quickly informed that the cleaning staff was not available and I could come to the front and obtain a large trash bag to bag my garbage and old towels. I spent the rest of the evening calling other hotels for room availability. Luckily, I found a room at the Hampton. I have never experienced such poor customer service, dirty room quarters and misrepresentation of amenities.I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN! IT'S DISGUSTING

Anyone who rates this place a 5 has never stayed there or has no expectations! In poor repair and not clean.
