Great Place
By LynneAL, 08/11/08
We absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed in two uniquely different rooms and loved both of them. The quaintness took us back in time. PJ was very helpful with everything we asked for..directions, restaurant recommendations, etc.... and made us feel so welcome upon our arrival. We enjoyed the swing on the porch and the bar. We will definitely stay here again! This was definitely not your cookie-cutter hotel room!

Center of Town
By cc, 08/10/08
If you wish to be in the center of town this is the place! In general the hotel is more like a large bed and breakfast feel, although no breakfast is offered, morning coffee is. It's a nice place with lots of local "color" on the front porch in the evenings. Interesting conversations are readily available if you join in. The service staff are friendly. One suggestion...the second floor is where they put visitors traveling with pets. If the risk or reality of a barking dog in the room next to you bothers you, be sure you settle that issue with them before you book.

Fun, ghostly encounter
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/07
We had a great stay and even had a very enjoyable (None Scary) encounter with the famous resident ghost: Capt Wood. The resurant downstairs has four star quality food and service. Loved the town and it's people, very much like Andy Griffith's "Mayberry". We look foward to visiting this wonderful little historic town again!

Exciting vacation want to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/05
We found the crew at Gibson Inn very friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay over Thanksgiving. The lighting of the lights on the house and the whole town. It was a sight to behold. The rooms were redecorated and pleasant. We found the bar and resturant very convient and it added to the pleasure of our stay. Intend to use Gibson Inn on our next vacation.

Gibson Inn , Apalachicola
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/04
Visited Apalachicola this year, stayed at the Gibson
Inn. I marvel at the changes that New Management
have made. The comfortable and friendly atmosphere when you enter, and the way I was greeted by the staff made such a difference in my stay, along with sitting on the porch and listening to the chatter of other guests. The restaurant and bar
was a great convience and added to my enjoyment
as it was not necessary to leave in search of other
restaurants, especially when I first arrived. I highly recomend a stay at the Gibson. Its fun.
