Request Detailed Confirmation Letter, signed and in writing!

I have been staying at the Buena Vista since 1975 and travel here for business and to visit with the many friends I have come to know in the area over the years. During this time I have experienced not only poor business practices but, also unprofessional behavior from the management at this facility. The motel staff appears to cater too and favor the local community. I know from years of experience that they have in the past changed reservations, room assignments and even canceled reservations "claiming over-booking". One employee had stated a few years back, "We sometimes need to accommodate our special clients�. Remember, there are not a lot of choices when booking other locations, because there are a minimal amount of accommodations available in the area. I personally, continue to book this location, for the sole reason of the convenience in travel time. Warning: Book well advance, because local events often fill all the rooms in the area and traveling to other locations can be anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple hours of additional travel time. Also, although �Reservations may be confirmed�, past experience is proof that confirmations are not set in stone. I recommend planning for the unexpected. To prevent future difficulty with my own reservations, I apologize for not identifying myself.
