Holland American, Bath

We have stayed at this hotel twice, but never again. When we walked into the room this time, it smelled like poo. That should have been a tip-off for what was to come, although we never did definitively locate the source of the smell. The room was not clean - hairs in the bathtub and one of the chairs had cookie crumbs on it and on the floor next to it. The bathroom fan sounds like a jet engine about to take off, and it doesn't work AT ALL. The worst part, however, was the bed. The mattress was worse than some I've slept on for $8/night in Mexico. My partner and I spent the entire night trying to climb out of the center, because the bed was so shot. It should have been replaced many years ago. This was easily the WORST night's sleep in my life. (Keeping in mind that I've travelled for months in the third world - this bed was worse.) Do yourself a favor - shell out $10 more and stay elsewhere.
