Feels like home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/10
Not only is the Nesbitt Inn charming and homey, it is conveniently located close to the ferry and the center of Nantucket for easy shopping and dining. I've taken wonderful walks to parks, the beach, museums, restaurants and the wharfs from the Inn. The third generation owners are kind, generous and fun. We've been visiting Nantucket for 30 years and this feels like home. Do stay here, but get your reservations early as this is so reasonable, it books up fast!

has room for improvements
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/09
The location is close to the ferry and the hosptality was good. The beds were comfortable but there was no airconditioning and the heat on the 3rd floor was opressive. Fortunately it cooled down alot the night we stayed and we were able to sleep. The front screen door needs to be fixed and the rugs could use a deep cleaning.

Best value on the island
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/24/07
We have stayed at the Nesbitt Inn for 5 consecutive summers. We love the relaxed atmosphere and have made some great friends that return year after year. Sipping a glass of wine on the porch while sharing stories with other guests is so delightful. The inn keepers Steve and Joann are down to earth and fun to chat with. There are keyed locks on all the rooms now so all guests and their possessions are secured. We have stayed at the Beachside, 18th St Gardner Inn, Le Languedoc and others in the past 20 summers of visiting Nantucket. This is the best value on the island.

too shabby to be chic
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/07
Well located close to ferry, shops and restaurants but very poor amenities and shabby appearance for the price. Others in my party stayed in similar quarters nearby, but much nicer. Screen entry door barely functional and hard to maneuver when carrying anything. Main entry carpet very dirty. Shared bath with shower that leaked all over floor with every use, leaving (shabby) bath rugs and wood floor soaking wet (I mopped up after others with towels from my room at least three times). Cheesy Motel-6ish soap and brown, industrial style paper towels carelessly tossed on the counter were the amenities provided at this overpriced B&B. Breakfast passable, but get there early or you won't find any coffee left in the single carafe. Others in my party stayed nearby at a similar price but with much cleaner surroundings and nicer amenities, including internet access. Strong impression that this generation of owners cares little for innkeeping...clearly visible graffiti in my closet dated from 1994. Need I say more?

My Favorite Nantucket Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/06
I can't think of anything better than sipping a glass of wine and watching the sun set from the front porch of the Nesbitt Inn. The rooms are charming, clean, comfortable and quiet. The Inn's owners Steve & Joanne are terrific hosts. I've stayed at the Nesbitt three times and I would not consider staying anywhere else!

Can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/06
The Nesbitt Inn was a perfect place to stay while visiting Nantucket for the first time. I was there with a 10 other girls for a Bachelorette party and it accomodated us just fine. I highly recommend the Nesbitt Inn as it was clean, priced right and right in the center of all the action. I will back to stay in the Captian's Quarters with my husband.

A wonderful Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/06
Staying at the Nesbitt was a wonderful experience! The owners are fun, quirky islanders who offer many interesting stories and advice on the island. The location is right downtown within walking distance to everything. You really feel the town come alive in the evening. Sitting on the large porch is a treat, as you watch the world walk by while you sip a glass of wine. I stayed in a studio apartment that was the best value on the island. Simple, quiet and clean it had everything you needed. The Nesbitt is one of the few Inns left on the island that is old Nantucket. I would stay again in a second to savor the experience.
