Ridgewood Motel & Cottages, Orleans

For those who are used to 4 star chains and or "Ritz-like" hotels this little gem in South Orleans is def. not for you. If you like a clean, friendly, charming and most importantly.....affordable place to lay your head hopefully after a full day of "adventuring" on the outer Cape than the Ridgewood is the perfect place! Shhhh.....please only tell good people about our little gem! Many thanks to the Knowles Family for their wonderful hospitality!

There was a horrible stench in the room that we could not get rid of. Opening the windows and doors helped a little, so that's how we went to bed. Then someone woke us and told us it was not safe to sleep with the doors open, so we closed them and suffered the stink. We spoke to friends afterward who had the same experience. If we had talked to our friends first, we never would have considered the "Ritzwood." As they say on their website, if you llike the Ritz, you won't fit in. Actually, if you like any place that's clean, you won't fit in. It's a wonder the board of health has not shut them down.

Stayed there this summer, and it was exactly as expected and more. Wonderful location. It was central to everything. The host was very welcoming and I loved the donuts and coffee in the lobby. We stayed in the rooms at the hotel and they were very charming. Clean, very spacious rooms. The cabins in the back looked nice too, but all we needed was the room. It was perfect for us. All in all, I would stay there again for sure. Hopefully I can put up some photos for all to see.

Nice place to stay, extremly friendly, room was clean. Our daugher had a soccer tournament nearby, for us it was a perfect location, the price was right! Better then what we thought we would get for the money. We were VERY PLEASED!!!

This motel is perfect for those who want to visit "the Cape" and don't want to pay what most places there charge. It is very clean, very friendly staff, free continental breakfast in the AM, and more. The swimming pool is big AND clean, and there also is a playground for the little ones.
