better options in Woodstock

Rooms were shabby - carpet needed replacing; room needed painting; unplugged mini fridge in the corner of the room; room smelled musty. The pool was very small and needed cleaning.

Beware Cancellation policy

The Braeside charged my credit card a $25 cancellation fee, even though I gave them more than a 2 week notice. This is not standard lodging practice, and hurts a budget traveler

Will make it a yearly vacation!

Great location, quiet location, great views. Unlike other motels in the area the Braeside is located just outside the busy downtown area, less congestion what Vermont is all about! Great owners/inn keepers, run by the people that own it, they pay real attention to detail and truely enjoy being your host!
