Pine Lodge Motel, Westerly

After having been to "Pine Lodge Motel" last summer, (for the first time), I did not hesitate to reserve a room again for this summer. The only thing that could have made our stay any better would be if it were right on the beach. But we're on vacation. Right? Right! We have TIME to walk, bike or drive to the beach. What's the rush? After having read some of these other reviews, I wonder, how many past guests/reviewers (with poor reviews of Pine Lodge) are catered to hand and foot and have no idea how to relax/enjoy VACATION ... and then I wonder about those (with glowing reviews) who obviously really needed a nice, comfortable, break from being the ones that have to cater to the aforementioned "too busy to appreciate vacation snobs". I find it amazing that the reviews of the same location can be so greatly divided between ... "GREATEST PLACE EVER" ... and ... "I'LL NEVER RETURN". Could it be ... it's not the staff or location or facility itself? But perhaps the amount of attitude in the guest? Sorry I went off there ... point is this; - have stayed at Pine Lodge Motel - loved it so much I'm turning my back on 32 years of camping at Burlingame State Park - you may want to at least check it out while in town and see what I mean - maybe my wife and I will see you there next summer Thank you Pine Lodge, the Cook Family

First of all the price quoted was different from when I checked in. I was totally disgusted after seeing the room. It had a horrid sent and it didn't have a remote control for the TV not to mention the fact they don't even have many cable stations and NO movie channels. I had wanted to stay at one of the cottages and needed a 2-bedroom which it indicates on the website, which states 1 and 2 bedroom cottages, then after arriving found out they only have 2 beds in the room and not two separate bedrooms. It was not a pleasant experience and would never stay again!!! BE WARNED!!! Will not be returning EVER!!!!

This hotel was good in all aspects. A nice place to enjoy. Good service was given by the hotel staff, would like to visit this place again along with my family and friends

We stayed over the holidays.. It was wonderful! We had everything we needed. Cabin was a little dated,however charming just the same. Service was good.....Some of the staff was friendly then others. Very nice place to stay. We'll go back.

My boyfriend and I stayed a few nights in one of the rooms here. Unfortunately we'd paid in advance--otherwise we would have found somewhere else to stay. The "kitchen" had not been updated in probably 20 years, and using the stove caused the fire alarm to go off constantly. The TV didn't have cable despite what we were told, and we were told several times that it would be fixed yet it never was. The service was terrible. They only brought new towels and made the bed the first day despite saying they would every day. This was definitely a waste of our money--do NOT stay in one of these rooms. I didn't even want to give it any stars for a rating but 1 is required...

I just can't say enough about Pine Lodge. The cottage we stayed in was VERY clean! The staff was WONDERFUL! Anything we needed they provided, it was such a wonderful place to stay. I have to say that after reading the other reviews on this page I was a bit apprehesive about it, BUT I AM HAPPY THAT WE WENT AND SAW FOR OURSELVES! We had such a GREAT experience that we are getting ready to book a second trip there. Our three children loved it there and can't wait to go back. If you stay here and see how GREAT it is I bet you'll be back too.

we liked the size of the cabin and the quiet setting. we have 3 kids so the 2 bedroom cabins are nice and they're near the playground. the rooms were clean. the beach is only a mile away.

WE as a family enjoy our stay every year.The staff is pleasent never had a problem with them or any of the management always pleased to have us.As far as the place being clean we always had a clean cottage, that never smelled.We would recommend this place to all our friends and family.As long as you enjoy spending time with your family you can look beyond the old furniture and thank god your alive!!!!

based on the excellent location and the above average service and the above average cleanliness... I would go back for its exceptionally good value. Worth looking into.

My Family and i were very pleased with the outcome of our stay. The room was very clean and the service was exceptional. The only downside if there was any were the amount of bugs at night, neverthless it was a pleasure. We will absolutly return.(WITH OFF BUG SPRAY)
