Weekend Away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/11
We went to the Inn for a quick weekend away- first one since our 3rd child was born- he is 4 1/2. The room left much to be desired- it was small, the bathroom tiles were loose, the sink clogged, the tv (not flat screen) remote was broken, and the heat was locked - and the room was very warm- left the window open both nights. We ate at the Tavern the first night and the food was mediocre- althougth the waitress was very nice and the bloody mary was good. The second night we went to the Woodsmen in Moultonboro- very good food. When we returned my husband wanted to try the hot cider and scones they put out each night. They were all gone and the person at the desk was very rude when we inquired. Although the setting on the lake is nice we will not be visiting there again.

New Management at the Wolfeboro Inn
By STEPHEN, 5/3/10
A word from the Executive Chef: The Wolfeboro Inn has new management that has a positive impact on our guests. Rooms are clean, public areas are comfortable and the Tavern is a great place to dine again. I myself have had formal training and have helped this company, Hay Creek Management, through two renovations now. We only want the best for our guests and will go to any length to stick by that. Feel free to contact myself or any of our associates for any information that you may need.

Is there any place else in Wolfeboro to stay?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/10
The pictures for this place are very deceiving. It was closed for renovations for a long time. I think all they renovated was the carpet, because the room we had sucked. In the pictures they show flat screen TVs, great views of the water and a huge room. Our room had an old TV, a view of the street behind the hotel and a tiny room. The only nice part of the hotel is the tavern. Drink in the tavern, but stay at another hotel if you can find one!

I will go back again- for sure!
By shireen, 12/16/08
I have stayed at the Wolfeboro Inn for the past six years. I have always been impressed. Not sure what the other comments are about. The staff has always been helpful and so friendly. I stayed there again w/ short notice due to the ice storm. The general manager had a special for those who lost power and was so accomodating to all of us w/ families while we were in crisis. The restaurant has new management and is great, they are starting renovations this winter. I can't wait to go back and see what they do. It's cozy, welcoming, and I have dealt with the managers who go out of their way to help the guests. They really seem to care. I have attended a wedding there two years ago and it was lovely. I am bringing my children and grandchildren there this coming summer for a family reunion. The town and the Inn are quaint and friendly.

Totally uncaring management
By Charlotte, 8/28/08
We paid $200. a night plus tax - got a tiny little room at the end of the hall. Sewer backed up in the bathroom on the 2nd nite of our planned 4 night stay - manager said, after we waited 2 hours for a non-existent maintenance man, that "I can't understand why you are so upset". Not a word of apology or offer to change our room. Totally unhelpful and uncaring. We checked out, cancelling the rest of our stay. We should have known, when we arrived, weary from a long day of travel, and were totally ignored by the man at the front desk, what we would be in for. Restaurant food was poor, and staff were so uncaring that it was nearly to the point of rudeness. A terrible place - really gone downhill from my previous stay about 5 years ago.

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/07
We went there for our fortieth anniversary and were quite disappointed. Food was not great. Our "free breakfast" was from a very limited menu. If we had ordered from the regular menu, we got $2.00 off. The "1812 Steakhouse" was not open. At $220 a night, it was a rip off.

the best..........
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/20/06
We just booked again for nine days in 2007.......our third visit in 5 years.....the food is very good, reasonably priced and the bar is WONDERFUL; we found very attentive wait staff, the hotel extremely clean and you can't get a better location in Wolfeboro. We travel a long way from Ohio to get there, but it is so worth it!

STAY AWAY!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/15/06
I went on a boat cruise catered by the Wolfeboro Inn. I called ahead and let them know of my food alergies. I was told it was no problem. Upon arrival...I spoke with the staff, she informed me she had been filled in on my situation. When dinner was served...there was NOTHING i could eat! 150.00 per ticket...and 4 hours with not a single thing I could eat on the boat. When I asked to speek to the catering manager, I was told, only the OWNER or the inn is here. He gave me NO sympathy. He informed me, they don't "deal" with food allergies! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!
