There was a very distinct mildew/ musty odor to the room. Understanding that the hotel allows pets ( we brought our dog ) , we were limited in our expectations. BUT...this was not a pet odor! The carpet was damp & I suspect that was the source. Housekeeping did try to address the problem, but the solution was temporary. We did not request a room change, a big mistake. Worse, 3 of the 4 mornings of our stay there was NO HOT WATER at the time we wanted to shower. The issue was resolved within a half hour, but this delayed our plans each of those days. Staff was always courteous when we called about water, odor. At check out ,when I asked to see the manager to see about possibly be compensated for lack of water I was told he would not be available until the next evening...no manager on duty,I find that unacceptable.

The man behind the desk was very friendly & helpful, clean room. We would definitely stay there again. The location for surrounding attractions is also very good and it is close to the freeway.

8/17/07 We enjoyed the room! The room was clean,staff friendly, continental breakfast was good, more choices than I have seen at othe continental breakfasts! We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it and would return!

Front desk and maintenance service was excellent. Unfortunately, the room had recently been painted and still had the paint smell, the painters' tape was still on heating/AC unit and also on the smoke detector which was functioning but still hanging from the ceiling attached only by wires. The location was great and the environment safe and comfortable. I do think once they complete the details this hotel will rate higher.

Not a single negative. Clean, large room. Clean, large hot tub. Clean , large bed. Pretty OK breakfast for on the go. Really nice, helpful girl at the front desk. I had already reserved the hot tub room when I came across the review sites. I got real nervous after reading all these negatives about the EconoLodge I chose near Loon Mt.. I'm in retail management, so I know usually only the negative, bitter people would make a post, and all the people with positive feelings wouldn't feel the need to bother. I just feel like these guys run a real nice hotel/motel and don't deserve the reviews posted here. Great experience and I will return every time I ski Loon.

This place was AWFUL! ZERO STARS!! We had NO hot water! There was dirt around the perimeter of the room! The box spring and matress didn't match at all. The toilet was broken and did not flush!!. The manager was RUDE RUDE RUDE + offerred us $20 for the problems. In subsequent emails, he told us NEVER TO STAY THERE AGAIN!!! Choice Hotels, Econoldge's parent company offerred us a NICE rebate and they were ASHAMED of the treatment the manager gave us.

On a cold New England November evening, the jacuzzi wasn't working; the coridors without any heat, the pool was so cold, wasn't worth trying. Manager was so rude. After I complained to the corporation, he sent me an email saying never to step in his hotel again.

I picked this hotel since it was cheaper than the Comfort Inn, I had a pool and a continental breakfast. It's a Basic place to stay. I paid 89$ for a Saturday night in March 05.
