The Red Apple Inn, Glen

We searched around online for places to stay last year. We stayed at the Inn. We loved it. It is very family friendly - basement has toys for boys and girls, disney movies to watch, video games, pool table etc. Outside has a pool, swing set and sandbox for kids. The breakfast was continental, can't really mess that up. :) The people were really nice. There was a super place to eat within walking distance. The rooms were very clean, we had a great time. In fact we liked it so much we are going again at the end of this month. The outside is covered in shrubs so its hard to see, if you are expecting a high end spiffy hotel you aren't going to find it. This place flies under the radar, its very family/kid friendly.. Looks can be deceiving. I've read other reviews and I don't think it is a dive/dump. We are going again in a few weeks!!

Stay away! The place is a dive. The bathroom was horrible, hair in the shower, the shower head was half blocked, the door mad a terrible noise, and the toilet plugged. We called the front office and we were told to get a plunger!!! The room was big but very shabby, the beds were super uncomfortable the chair was filthy and it looked like something picked up in the side of the road with a free sign. The whole place needs to be updated and remodeled. Also, online they have the so called "packages" when we made our reservation we reserved the "Storyland package" which included a gas card, a dinning certificate and snacks, we got NOTHING!!!!! we paid $143 per night to stay here and it should not have been more that maybe in a busy day $50. The so call breakfast is bad coffee, machine juice and bread products. In conclusion stay somewhere else, this place will ruin your vacation if you have some basic standard/expectation of comfort and clean.

Booked the Polar Express Package thru this supposed "Inn". It is a 1950's MOTEL that is in desparate need of an update. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - stayed 30 minutes and left for a Hotel. Faulty online advertising. They didn't even give us the polar express tix for the correct night. They fleeced us!

This place was billed as an INN - it was old and run down - doubt it has been upgraded since the 50's. Had to pay 3x the normal room price just to get North Pole Tickets. We didn't even stay there - took one look - took the bags to the car and went up to the white mtn resort. Faulty advertising as an INN!!
