Main Street Motel, Bar Harbor

Stayed for a weekend getaway and was very comfortable. The room was clean and roomy. Will stay there again. Wish it was alittle less expensive when you have a family.

we were quite disappointed that they advertise "Free Wi-Fi" but you have to go sit in the motel office to use it. No signal to the rooms located away from the office. We probably wouldn't stay there again for that very reason. There are other similarly located and priced motels that DO actually have working, available-in-the-room Wi-Fi (Villager). The room was ok otherwise, with above average maid service (thanks Sharon). Parking was thight, but free coffee in the office is a nice touch.

June 2007. Well we spent another wonderful week at the Maine St Motel in Bar Harbor. Makes about 10 yrs now. Believe me when I tell you its like going home again. I would not stay anywhere else. Chris, the owner and her staff are all wonderful people who go out of there way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We had a wonderful week and thanks to the affordable rates, plenty of money to spend and eat with. They could raise the rates a lot higher if they wanted to but never do. Its a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. You will not be sorry. Its close to everything. Stay there and enjoy a clean, nicely furnished room at a great price. Great location, very friendly staff. Main Street Hotel is located in the perfect spot. We have been coming to this Hotel for 8 years now. We wouldnt think of staying anywhere else.

Here's why Maine Street Motel is the best place to stay in Bah Haba - you don't really spend all that much time in the hotel because you're in Bah Haba! That's no slight on Maine Street - it's a quaint, quiet, clean, comfortable stay at a seriously remarkably low price. Great service, great location (down at the end of the main walking street, you make sure you see everything on your walk down to the Harbor and back - and adjacent to a quaint and every-so handy convenience store). We've stayed at a fancier (and nearly 3x as expensive) hotel, and I feel like we got less than we paid for, because we spent 90% of our waking hours out of the hotel - walking the shops, watching the waves crash, heading over to Bar Island at low tide, and, oh yeah, ACADIA! At Maine Street Motel, you get much, much more than you pay for - for a price that usually skimps on cleanliness or convenience, you get the greatest little secret in Bar Harbor, ME. Recommended to anyone who wants to go to Bar Harbor and get a spectacular value.

No-frills- but clean, great location and good service. You are an easy walk to the incredible harbor area (with lots of great shopping/restaurants along the way) and not far from the spectacular Acadia National Park. No pool- but no one seems to use them much here. Window unit A/C if you need it. Beds are comfortable- rooms are good-sized. Plenty of hot water and towels. A good stay. Would recommend.

Maine Street Motel is perfect for the budget minded, no frills traveler. The rooms were clean, accommodating, and very comfortable. The location was perfect...within walking distance to everything. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The staff was always friendly and very helpful with offering advice about local interests. We will return....and Maine Street Motel will be our home while we're there.

Stayed for 2 nights. Walls a bit thin but overall a good stay. Showers loud. Location and cleanliness great. I'm not sure I would stay there again because I like to try out other places.

I loved every thing about your hotel. There was not one thing i didn't like! The servise was great. Your food was also exallent. I just can't wait to come back!
