Sandalwood Lodge, Nadi

I have been staying at Sandalwood Lodge whenever i fly in or out of Fiji,since 2005. It's a fairly quiet location, the staff are fantastic, it's great to have the kitchen so we can self cater and the rooms are well priced.

i enjoed goin to sandlewood because of the peacefulness of the area and the friendly staff and servie..the cookin facilities is also a plus and the swimming area.... its a good place for families too stay in, for a holiday..thank you for making it an enjoyable experience

The Lodge is a 2 star accommodation with a 5 star warmth. I stayed in the Garden Wing which is the oldest part and there are definate signs of age, but it IS spotless and I felt really comfortable there. Fortunately it is easy to self cater. Cooking is by way of 2 hot rings and all your basic cooking needs are supplied. The lift to and from the airport is really handy and the staff are so helpful. When I couldn't find the Fruit and Veg market, one of the Groundsmen (Joe) offered to pick some fresh fruit and veg up for me, next time he was passing. And he did. The pool is cute and has a pretty waterfall. All the rooms have either a balcony on the top floor or a little patio on the ground floor. I hate rooms without balconies as you can feel so trapped, so this was really welcome. Plenty of places to eat out at and I chose to eat a cooked lunch and self cater morning and evening. The ladies at reception arrange your tours and can tell you honestly which ones they think are the best. I did 'The Waterfall' Tour which was excellent. To hit Nadi Town, you can get the bus from just down the road. 50c takes you right into town (make sure you have the correct money!!) No internet here but there is a cyber cafe about 5 mins walk away. So to sum up.......... Yes, it is 2 star but excellent value.

I have stayed here a few years ago,and also recently. Although it has a great ambience and pleasant staff,it could do with a refurbishment as is becoming a little tatty.It has not been that well maintained.Hot water pressure is poor.

Lovely staff, very clean rooms. Everything you need. Peace and quiet... good night's sleep... very comfy! NO internet connection there, but one just down the roa. Phnes in the rooms.. very handy, but expensive.Rebecca and Didi are lovely too.

We have a home in Taveuni and always stay at the Sandalwood when in transit from the U.S. or doing shopping or business in Nadi. The rooms are simple, but very clean, have well appointed kitchenettes and feel secure. The pool is small but lovely. Wonderful staff, they are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great central location and the free airport shuttle service is a great convenience - especially since many flights from Nadi leave rather late at night. Reasonable rates. Highly recommended.

I stay at the Sandalwood Lodge often and like it very much. Great friendly service and free airport pickup.

Rooms are awful! Stayed here for 1 night and would not do it again. Not worth the money!
