Outrigger Hotel, Suva

i will never go there ever again ..the rooms r so dirty even the ceiling had patches ..they have only fiji1 ...the sheets were dirty...when we complained to the receptionist was trying to help us but the manager was so stubborn n the way she talked ..i would have slapped her face .....as if we were staying there for free....the resturant on top is filthy,the stairs to the resturant is so narrow that u can fall down.the washroom smelt bad.the towels were as not washed.we had to change our hotel the same day...the owner should look into the matter of how the staffs behaviour with the guest.it is far from been a hotel it is like a motel cos when we were standing at the reception area ...they were selling room for shorttimes(dayrooms) for $35 n i asked n the receptionist said it was for short time by goodness we changed our hotel right at that time n they only gave us back $15 cos we had stayed for a short time (whatever that means) i felt cheap but my husband fast enough to get a room at suva motor inn which was much much better...my advice is that it will be better if u take a look at the rooms before paying for it ..thank u anyway ....it was quite a experience

I like the location since it's near hospital and bus service and shops.. the view too is good but the condition of the rooms is really horrible... place has lots of potential but run very badly...

Our visit to The Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji was brilliant. The Fijian people were so warm and friendly and great with the children (there is a wonderful kids club). Everywhere you go on the resort the staff greet you with an enthusiastic 'Bula!.' It is the staff that make this resort special. We particularly enjoyed the tradition Fijian entertainment, the Fire lighting ceremony and the Kava ceremony and can highly recommend doing a village tour. The Bebe spa is a must for the most fantastic views and excellent massage. As the hotel is located on the coral coast do not expect much from the beach however the pool is enormous and and the water is very clean and just the right temperature. The hotel is a 1 1/2 hour drive from the airport so keep that in mind when booking transfers (we went for the private driver rather than a bus). We found all the restaurants to be of good quality and we purchased a meal plan as part of our package which made it good value. For a special dinner the Ivi Restaurant was excellent and in my opinion was world class - and I'm very particular! We stayed in a Bure which was peaceful and spacious although it could do with a bit of modernisation, particularly in the bathroom to bring it up to 5 star standard. (This did not bother us at all, I'm just trying to give an accurate appraisal of the resort). The thatched Bures are set in lush tropical gardens which very well maintained. Overall I can highly recommend this hotel for families, especially those with young children aged 3-10.

first of all it does not look like a hotel,it is a motel the rooms are so stuffy and smelly.even the curtains were so dirty.the owner should invest some money to renovate it.the rooms were clean but the enviornment was ok.the staffs were good tryng to satisfy our needs. they have fiji one t.v whereas other hotels have sky.wel my experience in that hotel was very bad much better go to another smaller hotel.
