Disappointed with Shiba Park
The hotel lobby was nice, the room was adequate and the staff friendly, but the carpets leading to my room were horribly stained with a trail of huge spots down the hallway. The hotel was located between several great areas, however the immediate area was boring. The "short" walk from the bus station seemed to take much longer than than the eight minutes I was told. The hotel restaurants are highly overpriced considering the cost of other food establishments in Tokyo (a continental breakfast was approximately $22 in their version of a coffee shop). Any nightlife is a train ride away, however, the trains stop running at 11pm and taxis are difficult to find, so you are very limited on night life. I would not stay at this hotel again based upon the location and the value considering the condition of the hotel floor I stayed on.
