Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel, Denpasar

Fantastic location, just about 5 minutes from the airport, great beachfront, close to shops-restaurants and just opposite of the Waterbom. I loved to go shopping to the Discovery Shopping Mall which is just next to the hotel. The biggest mall in Bali. The Villa was GREAT. 2 bedrooms and direct on the beach. We enjoyed the view of beachfront from our own bedroom and livingroom. We loved the plunge pool and the garden. We enjoyed the cocktail party with the management every Monday. It was really a great honeymoon for us. The staff were great and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. We loved all about the hotel. Good location, excellent facilities, great staff. We definitely will be back.

We booked for the 17th September 2005 and we had to stay somewhere else the first night as they had overbooked. They picked us up the next day and when we arrived they offered us a ocean view room which we declined as we didnt want to be shifted again the next day as we already lost 2 days. We booked for a double room and we got twin beds. They joined the beds together but was not very comfortable. The bathrooms could do with a good scrub. Also our toilet cystern kept running which was noisy at night. Service was a bit layed back at times. Other than that the staff are very polite and friendly. Breakfast was good. They make the best omelettes.
