This is the oldest hotel in the capital of Angola- Luanda. I lived in Luanda more than 14 years and can say that this hotel is 4 star hotel, but corresponds to 2 stars one, simply because for the past 20 years there were no renovations, the service provided is below the average for such category hotel and the prices are cosmic! I never heard of "hot deals" or "seasonal discounts", simply because the terminology "Tourism" has no clear definition in Angolan mind and all is about making MONEY! This hotel was and is generally used for some official meetings of the local government members and some business partners, but not for tourists, simply because is too expensive and doesn't provide nothing special. The only really good thing is that the hotel is located in the heart of the capital, overlooking the bay area and having easy access to the Center. Generally Angola is a very beautiful country, which suffered badly from the destruction of the war and needs to make a big effort to create a Tourism infrastructure, to open itself to the World and invest more in conservation and education! It has very big potential for all this and deserves it!
