Leonardo Plaza Hotel Jerusalem, Jerusalem

I read the reviews from 2 year+ ago and I was amazed. I guess the hotel management did a big change or something alike, as I really enjoyed my staying at Leonardo Plaza. I stayed there for almost a week with my boyfriend and we both had no special complaints - the room was OK, with great air conditioning (thank god for that!) and comfortable bath and the food was good (breakfast was my favorite, especially the "make your own salad" stand where the waitress cut the vegetables you choose for you). We didn't need the lobby assistance but for a cab to airport at our last day there and they were nice and did it for us, so I really have nothing negative to say. I have just one little tiny negative thing to say and that's regarding the opening hours of the pool, as it is open everyday until 7 PM which is quite early for me... :)

It was a terrible hotel, there was rubbish littering our room when we got there and the service we encountered was horrible. On our second day we had to speak to a manager about the state.

I would never return to this hotel again. The rooms are old and outdated. The service was rude at best. There was trash in the hallways. On Shabbat the lobby turned into a soccer field. To get to the one non-Shabbat elevator (which seemingly took hours to arrive) I had to dodge flying soccer balls. Sheraton should be embarrassed to have their name on this hotel.

The location is amazing; you are literally surrounded by history and amazing landmarks. Every major tourist location is a stone throw away. But that�s about it, from experience I would give this hotel 2 stars. The hotel needs an emergency makeover and maybe a pest control company to pay daily visits. Rooms are tiny and the beds extremely uncomfortable. Hotel staff are actually quite professionally trained and make an effort to be helpful. Once again location-wise it�s the best but for that you could buy a tent.....

We just checked into this hotel and can't believe that it has not been renovated. Our room is out of the 1970's. Meanwhile the room picture on the Sheraton web site cannot be the same hotel. So much for truth in advertising. Having not eaten here yet, I cannot comment on the service or food.

WE STAYED IN SHERATON PLAZA FOR 5 NIGHTS. VERY NICE HOTEL. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, WE WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN. WE ALSO GOT VERY GOOD SERVICE FROM A GENTLEMAN CALLED PHILIPE AT BREAKFAST AND VERY HELPFUL WHEN WE CELEBRATED MY DAUGHTER'S BAT MITZVAH. HOTEL IS VERY CENTRAL, WE WALKED TO BEN YAHUDA STREET. FOUND THE BEST FALAFELS THERE.(small shop on a corner) SOUTH AFRICA.

I have just spent four days in this magnificent facility where the friendly staff provided 5-star accomodations with Jewish and Arab staff work together to give a sense of warmth and security. Staff I had not met knew my name and treated me not as a hotel gusst, but as a friend in their house. Well worth the stay. This was my first stay.
