Hotel Petrol Palace, Istanbul

My experience is not really bad. But the rooms are very old , the bath and bed are not comfortable , the breakfast is very good and the location too. The staff very helpful and nice people.

everything was wonderful. the stuff was ery helpful.the rooms are very clean.

We are regulars in hotel petrol more than 3 years but this year with its new decoration an renovation in bathroms the hotel looked much comfortable for us. There is a million dollar view at the roof top,and the location is better than any other hotel. Nikopolidis&Zilya Selonika/Greece

It has a great view and helpful staff. Especially the manager was very helpful. I think if I can find to go to Istanbul again, I would definitely stay in Petrol Hotel

You should only get this hotel if you intend to smoke the waterpipes every night. The service varied from good to incompetent. There were a few problems, the electrics went in one room and made a little fire, one receptionist couldnt speak english and they mixed our passports up. The rooms were grubby and the bathrooms had very old showers that leaked, mine fell apart and flooded the bathroom. You could get a much better deal somewhere else. We would have moved if we hadnt prepaid.

My wife and I will be visiting Petrol Palace for the 7th sucsessive year. You are made to feel very much at home. The owner is a very pleasant person and so helpfull if you require any. The location could not be better as a number of the main tourist attractions are within a few minutes walk,and transport for further afield is right at the front door. There is a stunning view of the Blue Mosque from the dining room, and "The Grand Bazzar is only five minutes walk away. George &Toni Woods. Johnstone SCOTLAND

we are student from Sarajevo who spent 16 days in petrol hotel. the service and the location of the hotel was good the room were large and comfortable but not too fancy. the management were helpful and kind of us.there was a very nice rothwieler dog at the back terrace

THE VIEW ! most perfect brakfast view ! central location. excellent to walk all the city around was very friendly staff there will come ever and ever there close to 3 hamams, docks to cross to asia

We definetly liked the location of the hotel.It is in walking distance to all historical monuments.The staff is helpfull and the owner is a very polite person and performing guitar and classical music and r-the roof top. The breakfast was good. It was a nice holiday.

On arrival, I was given a room with shared bathroom, while I had booked for en-suite. They changed it, to one just as old, but less smelly and with bathroom. Road works went on all night. It was basically impossible to sleep. Next morning, owner said if I did not stay, one night would be charged anyway, or the transfer from airport, which he evaluated at 25 Euros. The only rooms not on road side were very smelly, so I prefered to move out. Owner refused to bring transfer cost to an acceptable price. No respect for customers is my general impression of this hotel. I found a much nicer hotel, quieter, friendly, just a 300 meters away on the other side of the Blue Mosque for the same price(hotel Ninja, but others are certainly good value too). Clotilde
