Pay cash, Do not give them your credit card number
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/30/11
I paid for one night but couldn't stand the room I was in and asked for a refund. They obviously didn't give it to me. May fault I guess, should have looked at the room first. I didn't even reserve the room, I just walked in and paid for a night.
The room was not what I expected for the amount I paid, the heater was broken, so I asked the receptionist at the front if I could get a room with a working heater, she was nice enough to let me look at other rooms until I found a room that wasn't cold. After staying in the room for what had to be less then 10 minutes I decided this wasn't worth it and left and went to another Motel.
The reason I even bother writing a review though, is to warn everyone NOT to use a credit card. I paid by credit card, and they ended up charging me for two nights. I didn't even stay 10 minutes!!! But apparently because I never checked out they "assumed" I was still using the room even thought I asked for one night and they saw me leave early. I tried to dispute the charge with my credit card company but Motels have the right to make non-authorized charges based on what the Motel deems necessary for services and damages that may arise even after a customer leaves.
So long story short, if you are in a bind and MUST stay at this place, pay by cash and ask to look at the room first. I know, I should be doing that anyways, but I guess I was living in a fantasy world where common decency and honesty is normal.
