Absolutely disgusting!
By Heather, 4/20/12
My colleague and I are were up here doing business and this was the only motel for miles. We were tired and just decided to sto here to rest. Our room was a disgrace. It smelt like cigarette smoke, the linens were not clean, we would not even use the water to bath, we used bottled water!! Carpets were stained, and the room looks like it has not been cleaned in quite a while. This place should be demolished, DO NOT STAY HERE!

VERY NICE MOTEL AND RESTAURANT
By CrystalYelle, 5/19/10
I stayed last week at the motel. It was super clean and very nice and I ate dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good and there were choices of Mexican, Indian and American. There was very good service and eveything is under new management but business is still in the same name. Bradford Motel & Sunny Oasis. I am very happy about the stay. I talked to the owner, sunny, and she is opperating a restaurant and motel by herself now which has improved very much.

Love to come back
By Heather Stone, 4/14/10
I have stayed at the motel for many years and have came back this year and noticed many improvements. They remodeled all their rooms and the property looks much better than before. I've observed more maintenance and order following in the acts of making this business successful. The owner has always been nice and sweet. I would love to come back

Nice place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/14/10
I have came to this motel every year for 5 years. The last time I was there, the room was nice and clean. They were redecorated and repainted into a nice and comfortable living area. The owner was always nice and friendly. Things were picked up such as remodeling the place which they are doing and it's looking better.

Biggest Dump I've Ever Stayed In
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/09
I have stayed at this motel during November deer season for the better part of the last 20 years. It used to be a decent place, but since the present owner "Sunny" bought it, it has become the grossest motel I have ever stayed in and I travel quite a bit. All the previous reviews detailing how dirty the rooms are and how the owner and her daughter will try to rip you off are completely true. They are complete liars about everything and will overcharge you every chance they get. Unfortunately they are about the only game in town for that area, so they survive doing business that way. I would recommend the Silver Maple Lodge in Fairlee if you can deal without cable TV. At least it's very clean, affordable, and the owners are great. Avoid the Bradford if at all possible!!

Dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/09
My husband and I arrived at the Bradford Motel sight unseen only going by the photos on their website. Anyone notice that the photos on the website don't match the actual motel? We registered and then went to our room. Upon opening the door the smell of mold was overpowering and the room was dark and dirty. Looking in the bathroom sent us out the door never to return. The mold was halfway up the curtain and the shower stall had not been cleaned in quite a while. I have seen better bathrooms in a fraternity at the end of the school year. Disgusting Dump! The management would not refund our money. We ended up at the White Goose Inn in Orford, NH. Lovely place, exceptional service, sparkling clean, and a wonderful breakfast!

CRAZY DRUNK MAID
By jessica, 9/27/09
I will never go back here again. We arrived late in the evening to find out that our room was downgraded from a suite to a regular room, though they still charge us for a suite. To make matters worse they only reserved our room for one night instead of two. Because we arrived late we had no choice but to stay. We were later disturbed by a loud noise outside our room. When we opened the door to find the maid drunk, falling down and slurring threats at us. Most horrible experience I've ever had at a hotel. If this hotel is your only option, do yourself a favor and sleep in the car!!!

Would certainly stay there again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/09
At $75 a bit overpriced, but I had none of the problems other reviews mentioned. It was VERY quiet, no traffic noise (far from the road, and the rear window looks out onto a huge farm field), no noise from the bar (not close to the rooms), and in room #9: new 'frig and microwave, beds fine, TV channels great, clean enough. Family Management very nice. What it did NOT have: noisy AC, rude service, smoke or pet odors, inconsiderate guests.

WILL NEVER GO BACK!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/1/09
Room #12 was dark (walls, carpet, bedspreads, etc.); bathroom very tiny & couldn't move in shower stall. Hair on shower mat, inside of shower curtain dirty! Beds were very uncomfortable, sagging & pillows even worse! The size of the bath towels would be great for a 2-year old! On their website, they said there was free internet which was not true. They also said every room got a $5 coupon to their Sunny Oasis Restaurant which was NOT true either! Rates posted on their website were also incorrect. Also there was a sign posted in all the rooms which offered free coffee in the dining room every morning was not true because the motel staff (the owners' children) were still in bed and the doors were locked. In our opinion, the condition of these rooms do not warrent paying $75 a night. Also, the electrical outlets in the room we stayed in the 1st night did not work nor did the telephones! The next morning we went to the office when it finally opened & told them we were changing to another room. We moved to Room #8 where one of our relatives had stayed -- the bathroom was bigger except for the shower stall which was even smaller than Room #12 but Room #8 was a lot brighter & not so dark. Also, the picture that is posted on the motel's website is not what the motel looks like now! The new owners have built on to the front of what used to be the old motel office & have painted it a hideous mustard yellow. The only thing good about this motel was the Cable TV & air conditioning ... they were the only thing that worked great. The housekeeper was also very nice & offered coffee because the motel didn't do that anymore. If you are going to stay at this motel, ask for Room #9 because that has a big bathroom with a regular tub/shower.
