Usa Inn Of America, Grand Island

I made an online reservation for this property nearly two days before our arrival. We got to the hotel front desk and I handed the clerk my print out confirmation (she barely spoke english). You proceeded to read it and then told us that they don't offer the rate that I booked. That is interesting because when I worked in a hotel we had decide these rates and room types for online sites, the website doesn't just make all the info up. My res was confirmed at $49.95/ night for a King Spa Room. The desk clerk told me that the rate was actually $79.95 and that the website was "wrong." Well that is interesting because again the hotel would have had to designate these rooms and rates. I explained that obviously I have a CONFIRMED res that guaranteed me $49.95 and asked the clerk to honor the rate if the room is available. She refused and wanted to haggle about the price, again, barely spoke Engligh. I am not impressed and will NEVER choose another hotel in this company. The parking lot alone was dark, scary and needed some maintenance, the building also looked dilapitated. The desk clerk was terribly rude and dishonest (she could have worn some deoderant too). I would NOT suggest this hotel unless you like to book a rate and arrive only to be told that they don't offer that rate. This is called "false advertisement" and the Better Business Bureau will be getting a complaint from me as well. Do not book this hotel. I would prefer to sleep in car before booking this cockroach motel.

The hotel is good but the real reason we will return is the Restaraunt next door! We ate there almost every night and will go back again!
