BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/10
What ever you do do not stay at this hotel. We only stayed 1 night and it was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The bed bugs are running wild in this place and if you do not mind having your blood sucked out of your body while you are asleep then stay here.

Bad timing and ignorant reviewers!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/09
these other reviews were written while the hotel was filled with pipeliners. it has been renovated and there is now a very modern bar where the pool used to be and the crowd at the bar depends on who is staying there. so if it looked like a biker bar that was probably due to the pipeliners that where staying there. I have stayed there many times both when the pool still existed and now when the bar has taken its place and i love it!! I have NEVER had any problem while i stayed there. i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Valley City. Oh and did i mention that the bar is one of only three smoke free bars in town!! Definitely a major plus if you just want to have a couple drinks or a bite to eat without smelling like smoke.

DISGUSTING
By nm04, 12/06/08
My husband and I have been living out of hotels for the past 5 months due to the pipeline project. This place was the worst place we have stayed in so far. It is very OUTDATED, they even have the wood panneling on the walls (how old is that!). The housekeepers would come in daily but not once did they clean the toilet or the comforter unless I requested it. Usually when the toilet starts growing mold is a pretty clear sign it needs to be cleaned. When management found out that the pipeline was coming through they decided to double the cost of the rooms to $80... that is rediculous! those rooms are not even worth it. From now on if we ever have to go to North Dakota we will drive an hour further and stay in Fargo.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/08
We were on our way to a funeral in Drake, ND & decided to spent the night in Valley City......We love the town, but what a disappointment in the hotel.....It was plain filthy!! They still advertise a pool....What a joke!! We stayed there because the AmericInn was full...Thank good it was available on our return......

Like being at home?????
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/08
I guess if being at home consists of never cleaning your toilet, washing the sheets and peeing on the floor. Then please don't invite me to your house....And why don't you like your friends? The advertisements say that there is an indoor pool....It is a biker bar. I thought Hotels.com should do a commercial there. They can have the family dressed in there swim suits walk into the bar looking for the pool; As the drunk bikers stop drinking to check out mom and the kids.
