Brentwood Inn & Suites, Rochester

I really liked the location and they had easy access to parking and subway walking distance to Mayo. It was my first time at Mayo and I had many appointments. I had to stay a little longer than the check out time, and they let me stay so I could go to my last appt., and then checkout with no extra charge. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone who has appts at Mayo, I am also going back in March and will be staying here even though most of my appts. are at St. Mary's hospital. They have a shuttle to the mayo clinic and then they have a shuttle to St. Mary's. And the price was a good value.

This hotel is conected to the people walking subway system that leads to the mayo buildings and many stores and restaurants. It is clean and friendly. We have stayed somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 times.

This is our first time at Mayo and Rochester. Friends recommended the Brentwood Inn to us. Because we were new, we needed all sorts of information. The entire staff was kind and very helpful. We were well pleased with everything and definately would recommend it to anyone. This hotel is very busy so you need to book well in advance.

We stayed here in September of 08 for two days. My parents recommended it as they have been staying here for years and now it's my turn. LOL. The staff was friendly, the room was clean- although bring your own pillows as their pillows are hard as rocks. You can't beat the location and the underground tunnel connecting it to Mayo and Methodist. We are coming back in July of this year but will be staying at the Brentwood on 5th as it has an indoor pool. I would recommend the Brentwood Inn and Suites to anyone who wants a reasonably priced hotel in walking distance to Mayo. It's nothing fancy, but it has a great location and is clean.

This is a great lilttle hotel downtown with subway to Mayo and retail. We go back twice a year and will not stay anywhere else. Book early, because they are always full.

It was a busy week so they charged me more than when I booked the room. I am sure I had not made a mistake as I had written down who I spoke to and the exact room info. Room was just OK, not worth the inflated price.

We alway choose to stay there and were well pleased. We were there this past weekend and did run into a problem. My husband is handicapped and we had a Hope Lodge reunion and while attending the reunion, there was some guy planting trees and shrubs. We had our Trailblazer washed and polished, when this guy who was planting the shrubs and trees must have got careless with the watering hose and there was mud splashed all over the drivers side and the hood of the vehicle. My husband who is very fussy with his vehicles was very upset. We would have parked under the roof when we arrived, but there was nothing close for him to park. We feel that we should be given a fee to have our vehicle at least washed.

We're been coming to Mayo for years and have often stayed at the Brentwood. (They have our name on file so when we call, we're already in their system.) Last night, however, after booking several weeks in advance AND calling the night before to confirm, when we arrived at 9pm, there was NO room for us. The staff sent us to their "sister" motel around the block but we were mighty disappointed that they did NOT honor our request. We had very little choice but to stay at the Brentwood Courtyard, which turned out to be very nice BUT it is not connected directly to the subway to Mayo which is what we want. Not sure if we'll be back or not.......

Upon check-in we were told room rates were $66 a night as listed on this site. Later were told our rate was $84/night due to the event we were in town for. The desk then claimed there is no such price as $66. There is nothing to do at this hotel. They have another one across the street (pool, hot tub, sauna) price there is $74.50 a night (had friends stay there, same weekend, same event, lower rates) what gives? One of our keycards didn't work at all. No shampoo in the shower. Entire hotel was like a sauna (so I guess we had one too, indirectly). The pizza place listed on the TV channel guide would not deliver to this area. Not impressed.

I am trying to figure out why this hotel has more reviews then all the others in rochester put together. Is the management adding several reviews? I smell something fishy.
