Dean Creek Resort, Redway

Reserved through what I thought was their website which it wasn't and I was overcharged and instead of the cabin I requested I ended up in one of the dirty rooms and I was basically told by the manager to take a hike if I didn't like it. It is a 1940 era motel with threadbare sheets, mold in the shower, stains in the toilet, febreeze used heavily throughout to mask the odors. Don't waste your money, you would be better off sleeping in your car.

We camp at Dean Creek often and love it. It is a great place to go for family fun in the sun! Campground and pool area are clean and well maintained. Going back this weekend!

We were there for Labor day week-end, a 3 nights stay. We booked a camp site. Our experience there was not good. First, campsites and trailer sites are very small!! The campground was full and the tents are next to the other ones. If you like to sit in your chairs in front of the fire just next to your neighbour's car, this is a great place to do that ! Also, we had a water faucet on our site but the water had a very bad taste! It is yellow and this is ok for us as it can be tanned by soil and we are used to drink that when hiking but this time, the water was really not good to drink. Water at the visitor center in Humbold park is better. Last thing, the owners had the good idea to have a concert on the saturday evening until midnight. Which is fine if people enjoy this, but the music was so loud that actually the whole campground was filled with a high level of noise! Impossible for us to have our 2 years old to calm down and be able to go to sleep. She was exausted by the music. It was way to loud for such a small area! All together, we were very disapointed and even with the amenities, this campground does not worth the money. There are other private campgrounds in the area.
