OVERCHARGE WOULDN'T BE REASONED WITH
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/11
Owner agreed to price for extra stay (late check out). Next day Hippy at register knew nothing about it. Insisted I was being charged another night and said we already have your card # and are charging you. Wish these people communicated with their employees and hired someone who can deal respectfully with customers.

Best hotel I ever stayed at!
I just stayed at Super 8 Motel and it was great! The room was very clean, and the service was great! So you guys who complained about it. That rude lady and the even more rude guy was just in a bad mood. If you owned a hotel just like these hard working poeple you might get in a bad mood a couple of times. They are just people! You can't expect ever hotel you stay at to be perfect. The Super Start Breakfest this hotel has I LOVE IT! I really like the dohnuts, coffee, and juice. They have free wireless internet in the rooms. If your lap top does not work in your room then you may go to the lobby and use the guest computer. You can check your E-mail, Yahoo! messager, and you can Myspace IM. Like the topic. Best hotel i ever stayed at!

Not Impressed
By John, 10/8/08
I stayed at the Super 8 Motel in Bishop, California on October 3-4, 2008. This was a mixed experience. First, the good: • The reservation was easy to make online from the Super 8 site • I requested a first floor room and it was honored. • The manager fixed the broken linkage to the sink drain the next day Now, the bad: • When the manager found that my son was staying at LaQuinta started saying bad things about LaQuinta –that they had cockroaches, they had no continental breakfast, they had no wireless internet. These all proved to be untrue. In fact, the LaQuinta breakfast included hot Belgian waffles, hard boiled eggs, and a variety of pastries that the Super 8 did NOT have. • The Super 8’s continental breakfast was the most Spartan that I have seen anywhere in my travels around the U.S. – two cereals, two kinds of muffins, powdered donuts, regular coffee (the decaf was empty), orange juice (it came out mostly water) and apple juice (I think). • The manager did tell me when I checked in that the continental breakfast was “first come, first served” and they often ran out. • When we returned to our room the afternoon of Oct. 4th, there was a large bug on the wall. I went to the office where the owner’s wife was on duty. I told her about the bug and showed her a photo of it on my camera. Her response was, “what do you want me to do about it?” She also asked if I had left the door open. I asked if she wanted me to squash it on the wall, and she walked back into her quarters. As soon as I returned to the room the owner/husband appeared with a fly swatter. It turned out that it was just a large moth and he disposed of it. I do not think we would stay at this Super 8 again. I had reserved our room there because we have had good experiences with the last few Super 8s that we have stayed at, but it was evident at this establishment that they cared little about their customers. When I checked out on Sunday morning, the owner did not even ask how our stay was or suggest that we stay there again. I would be much more likely to stay at the LaQuinta next year when we return to Bishop.

These people just don't know how to handle customers!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/28/04
I stayed here, and complained that the cable TV wasn't working (it wasn't). The guy who runs the place came to my room, screaming, practically foaming at the mouth, accusing me of "fixing" the TV so the cable wouldn't work so that I could get a $5 discount. He actually threatened to call the police!!! Avoid this place, really. They're cheap, and the rooms are reasonably clean, but it will ruin your trip to run into the guy who runs the place.

Displeased now ex-customer
By c, 3/5/04
I did not actually stay at the hotel this visit but I will never again! I telephoned to cancel my reservation and the woman who answered the phone was very rude! She passed the call on to a man who was just as and even more RUDE! They yelled and spoke over me and did not even hear what I was trying to say. Needless to say, in the end I had to hold the phone away from my ear and hang up because he was yelling so loud! What ever happened to customer courtesy? They lost a customer and I will spread the word about how RUDE SUPER 8 employees are!
