Nice place for the cost
By Gregory B, 09/30/09
I only stayed at this motel for one evening, but I thought it was clean and very reasonably priced. It included wireless internet though the bandwidth wasn't spectacular in my room (which was really pretty close to the office). The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly spacious. The bathroom was slightly low quality, if anything bad could be said about the room. They have a pool that was also decent. One issue was the continental breakfast, which was the most sparse I've ever seen - coffee and dry cereal, but no fruit, etc.

It served our purpose
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/09
It's certainly old, which places it in an old part of town. Old in this case doesn't translate into "rustic" or "charming" but a little run down. However, it did serve our needs, which was a shower and comfortable beds. Regarding the shower, it was certainly small but the water was hot with no fluctuations in temperature or rattling pipes.

A Great Week in Bishop,CA.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/08
We really enjoyed our week in Bishop, especially with the accomadations of The Mountain View Motel. It's very simple, not overgrown in luxury, it's very comfortable after a day of travel and fishing. They keep your room nice and clean. The owners/staff are very gracious. There's a fish cleaning sink and chest freezer for your fish. It was mostly a peaceful, restful night everynight. We will definitely return on our next visits.

I'm afraid this will be our last time staying here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
We've been staying here for several years while attending Mule Days. We got a room with a kitchenette which brought the price up to approx. $162.00. Sadly, the rooms have gotten really run down (windows won't lock, stained curtains, worn out recliner, horrible!! toilet paper and no TP holder, uncomfortable bed). The AC didn't work well although we were told the problem had been fixed since our last visit. Many utensils needed to cook a meal were not present. We know that all the lodging prices go way up during Mule Days but they usually come down at the end of the event. This time, it was so minimal it wasnt worth staying. The location is great, nice staff and nice little pool. PS-Our beautiful, luxurious room in down town old Salzburg was $180.00

Fabulous Hotel for a budget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/06
This is a simple hotel with all of the necessary amenities for someone on a budget, yet still looking to enjoy a bit of character while in the beautiful, outdoorsy Bishop area. Great location on a quiet street (not far off the main road) with walk-to convenience stores. Quaint garden decor provides a nice setting. The pool area is a nice place to relax and even enjoy dinner and watching the sunset after a long day outdoors. I very much enjoyed my stay here and plan to visit again!
