ABSOLUTLEY NASTY!!!! My husband planned a "romantic getaway" for my birthday and we stayed in room 111 with the fireplace and hottub!! I cleaned more than I do at home. There was soak scum and whatever still in the tub along with fecal matter on the wall next to the toilet with a dried up mess of urine behind the toilet. When we flipped open the cover to the bed, a half roll of toilet paper came out if the bed. The curtains were screwed into the molding, with a second curtain over it. The ceiling tiles were broken and nasty. They left an outdated granola bar on the stand that had so much nastiness of crud on it. The smoke detector was disconnected and the sprinkler system was broken!! The owners we completely rude. I have several pictures of the room and showed them how awful it was. They had no remorse at all!! I told them I was calling Better Business Bureau and the Town of Lewiston and that mattered nothing to them. I am appalled by this and have been in contact with Travelodge main branch and will be contacting Health and Safety in Lewiston Tuesday. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!! YOU ARE BETTER OFF SLEEPING IN YOUR LOCAL DUMPSTER!!!

Came up with 2 other families for a youth hockey game. all the other places in the area were booked due to Bates' family weekend. We didn't want to drive 30 minutes further to Augusta or Freeport to get to the game when this place is 2 miles away. We're from out of state. First, the front desk charges your credit card as soon as you check in (unlike other hotels that charge you on your way out). When we checked out our rooms, they were dingy, old, chips in the toilet, mirrors on ceilings, french fries on floors. One family all slept in their truck. The restaurant was closed. The lounge was closed. The pool lights were off. we had to go searching to turn the lights on to the pool for the kids. Once we saw the state of this place, we had no recourse because our credit cards were already charged. This is a shady place...the type that they need to charge you up front in case you're a meth head and would just leave without paying. DO NOT STAY HERE. I'm just hoping that bed bug bites don't show up on us today.

The rooms were not as clean as I expected, the pool was not heated, the hot tub was cold and not in service, the rooms were very damp, and the towels were very dingy! The bed WAS comfy tho...and the price was right for me...all in all....just those few things...the motel was quiet, and fast food was nearby~

GREAT DEAL FOR GREAT PRIZE I AM VISITING FREQUENTLY AND NEW MANAGEMENT SEEMS TO IMPROVED THE PLACE AS THE STANDRAD OF ANY HAMPTON INN FREE WIFI INDOOR POOL HOT TUB BAR AND RESTURANT LOCATION AND AFTERALL THE STAFF MEMBERS ARE REALLY GREAT DEAL WELL IT'S REALLY AMAZING THAT NEW MANGEMENT HAS BROUGHT THE MOTEL AT HOTEL STANDRAD ROOM IMPROVED NEW CARPET FREE LOCAL PHONES WELL GOOD FOR MY KIDS THEY EVEN PROVIDED GRANOLA BAR ,CRAKERS ,TOOTH PASTE RAZOR ,SAVING CREEM ,LOTION ,SHAMPOO AND GUMS WOOO... AT NO COST.. JUST CARRY YOUR CAR KEYS.. NOT TO MENTION THERE IS A CONTINETAL FREE BREAKFAST... JUST AT GREAT PRIZE OF ROOM ZOOM ZOOM AND GREAT DEAL

Room dirty, paint on floor, bed supports missing. Unfriendly staff. Save yourself the hassle & look at other places, unless you don't mind throwing your money away!

I stayed here a year ago and it was fair, now I came back this year (Dec 07) and it was like they just ran it right into the ground,but keep charging unknowing customers drawn in by the fancy flashing sign boasting internet, pool, etc. There are new owners who it seems want to keep running it downhill. The desk person was sleeping at the front desk AT 7:30 PM! After waking him and reserving a room,asked about the pool and was told the pool was closed already for the nite. The room was disgusting, smelled like stale smoke (mind you-was a non smoking room)and generally filthy,carpet had stuff tracked all over it, shower was dirty. Bed did not even have proper fitted sheets just 2 loose top sheets,no blankets ,even though it is DEC. cover was filthy. Internet not working, ceiling tiles stained and falling out. Room was very cold w cold air blowing through holes where a heater had been removed, had to stuff with newspapers to stop the chill, only heat obtainable was from air con unit after I pulled out the clogged air filter. At checkin was told there was a continental breakfast buffet, when I went to check it out the next morn, nothing but coffee and surgar- not even cream!!wow how continental! When I asked the guy at the desk, in a hard to understand broken indian accent, said "Dats da breakfast" and pointed to the coffee pot. Invoice was marked Rodeway Inn, so must be that is what it is now, but I would say Roachway Inn would be more accurate. Never again!

When we arrived we were given room 106. The key didn't work in the lock. We looked in the window and noticed there were only 2 double beds, not 2 queen beds as we had paid for. We walked into the lobby and there was already another unsatisfied customer there, as he said to us, "good luck." They sent someone to unlock our room. Upon inspection we found most of the ceiling tiles stained brown due to water leakage, some falling down, the register falling off the wall, the shower wasn't cleaned, as there was dried soap and shampoo running down the walls, and a past customer had left food in the refrigerator. We complained and they gave us another room, 131. This room was an improvement, but still not very nice. I would NEVER stay in this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. I feel this place should be inspected for health reasons. DISGUSTING!!!

I stayed at the Chalet Motel for 10 days and found it to be quite comfortable. As a writer, I asked for and was given, a quiet room. The owner and workers always respect your privacy. Daily, room service will call, to see if you need anything. All the amenities of home are there for you. My room was very clean, had a comfortable bed, offered cable t.v., fireplace, small refrigerator and microwave. What more can a person ask for. Kudos to the Chalet and it's wonderful staff. I will definitely plan another visit soon. Boston poet, writer and humanitarian

Yes I have stayed there befor and it was Great.I`m my be taking my granddaugher & her % year old son there tonight or tomorrow.If I can .My Friend came up from Quincy,Mass.when I lived in Durham,Maine,we had agreat time Edie

I have stayed at the Chalet about 10 times in the past year. I keep going back because the rooms are nice, the pool and hot tub are great, the location is perfect if your going out on the town for a night...and you can't beat the price!!!!
