Kewadin Casino Hotel And Conven, Sault Ste Marie

The gambling and food part was great.The hotel part of it was terrible. Your request for a certain room is not guaranteed. We had bed bugs in our bed and was bit several times. Night manager has no authority or won't take the responsibility of fixing the problems.

I don't see much to like at Kewadin anymore. We used to enjoy going to the Kewadin casino in Sault Ste. Marie. However not anymore. The room was nice and clean. Food is over priced, employees appear to be unhappy and the casino is tough to say the least. We met another couple who had reservations for 3 days and were leaving early.

This was a wonderful weekend package. I look forward to going back next year. I would/have recommended this casino to my freinds and family members.The hotel was clean. The casino was well spaced and had a very friendly feel to it. Can't say enough good things about this Casino despite the negative reviews I read before going there. GO and ENJOY!!!

I just returned from an overnight bus trip to the casino. As we were getting loaded to leave, one of our passengers has a physical problem. The security people immediately came to our aid, and also called the EMTs. I went with her to the hospital, and when I was sure she was being cared for, called the casino security as they had instructed me. I was given 1st class service in that they picked me up at the hospital, drove me on to the casino in St. Ignace where the bus was - in time to get back with the group and continue home. Thanks for your caring!

Casino area was great. The buffet was fantastic both for breakfast and dinner. We thought we would have a refrig. in our room since I need to have my medicine refrigerated but there was not one. Just because I am a housewife that cleans everyday I was annoyed about some hair in the bathroom when we arrived. I should have called down to ask for additional pillows as what we had in the room were flat. All in all it was great.

My kin in Sudbury, ON, Canada, recommended this place for us to meet since we were coming from Milwaukee, WI. The whirlpool room we booked was excellent. The variety of restaurants was great: the main buffet restaurant was excellent, and smaller "snack/fast food" kiosk (right in the casino) and the other nearby "snack/fast food" restaurant was handy during late hours. The variety of slot machines was impressive, and drink service to patrons was great. The only suggestion for improvement that I could think of was for the Casino to add some kind of luggage handling service when customers sign in.

Did like getting free meals with my Northern Rewards points. Didn't like not having our room made up after housekeeping asked in the morning if we needed anything. Guess since we stayed three days they wern't required to make up the room.

we disliked the fact the rugs were patched and filthy - the staff for the restaurant were running around like chickens with their heads cut off - obviously running this place on a shoe string. The check in staff were more concerned with their complaints about working conditions than greeting their guests. After driving all the way from North Bay - we checked out after a one night stay - cancelling the next night.

We went March 2007 for St. Patty's Day weekend...It was so much FUN...gambled,,,,the room was so nice...and there was a live band playing in the bar and we had a GREAt time...dancing the night away...I saved alot of money...dancing and not gambling...hahahahaha....Good time...Going back for the Memorial Weekend...YIPPEE!!!!!

my gf and i recently spent 4 nights at Kewadin Hotel and Casino in Sault Ste Marie. This is a twice a year trip and again it was a great experience and lots of fun The staff was great and helpful and we didnt have any problems. We stayed in the East Wing which is the closest rooms to the casino. It definitely is not the Hilton or Marriot but who cares about the room? Your not there to sit in your room your there to gamble and have fun. I think for the value the rooms are definitely adequate enough. We prefer Kewadin over the Detroit and Windsor casino's even though this is a 6 hours drive vs a 45 min-1 hour drive because the people are always helpful and friendly and casino is never really packed unless sometype of show/concert is going on. I've read some of these reviews and I'm amazed by people trying to compare Kewadin to Vegas or Atlantic City, there is no comparison, if you like that atomosphere better, GO TO VEGAS OR ATLANTIC CITY!!!! Only wish they had a Sportsbook but its not their fault Hotel and Casino did awesome job promoting ST Pat's Day which was good time We will definitely be going back for next trip up north in Sept 07
