Knights Inn Springfield, Springfield

How this motel received a rating from AAA is beyond me. The pool was closed -- too old to be repaired. My room was FILTHY, so much so that I had to check out not two hours after checking IN because of an asthma attack brought on by the room. I was not aware that the Knights Inn franchise had sunk this low. I have previously never had a problem with Knights Inn; however, this was so horrid I would bypass ANY Knights Inn (or any other in the Trip Rewards system, as this unfortunately was not the first negative experience with a motel in the "Trip Rewards" program) before stopping. I would even sleep in my car first. If this is the only place you can locate lodging while in Springfield, Ohio, I would recommend you skip it and sleep in you car, too.
