Cain House, Bridgeport

Upon arrival this looks like a winner - but wait, looks are deceiving. The 10 inch TV came without a remote control - okay, inconvenient but this was only the beginning. The coffee pot in the room did not work, the refrigirator did not work, the air conditioner cools on the high setting only and the tub nearly overflowed because of the poor drainage and the manager was highly defensive, but agreed to find us a workable coffee pot - too little, too late. I asked for a price adjustment and she flatly refused saying that the AAA discount was enough. This is the only B&B I have experienced that offers a limited continental breakfast as opposed to a real one. If you are visitng Bridgeport select any of the many other establishments - this was a bust of the first degree despite looking charming on the outside.

WE WERE SO PLEASED WITH THE CAIN HOUSE! AFTER READING A POOR REVIEW ON TRAVELOCIY, I CHECKED IN VIA EMAIL WITH THE OWNERS..NEW OWNERS I SHOULD SAY.THE GROUNDS WERE EMACULATE! PLENTY OF LAWN AND FLORAL. WE TRAVELED TO BODIE TURNOFF WHICH WAS JUST A COUPLE OF MILES DOWN THE ROAD. HAD A NICE DINNER/PIZZA AT RHINOS A BLOCK AWAY. GREAT LOCATON.WILL STAY AGAIN!!!!!!!
