Can not wait to go back!!!
By Mima, 2/21/08
My boyfriend and I stayed at Nordic Hills Lodge for the President`s day weekend. It was amazing!!! The Lodge is very close to the Mount Snow - 4 miles away only. The owners, Bruce and Kate, are by far the most friendly and hospitable owners we met. The Lodge is great - so homey and warm - it feels like your own home or as if you came to visit a member of your family. They have jacuzzi, sauna and a big game room - my boyfriend and I have never played so much pool and ping-pong :) it was so much fun. They have two big common rooms each with a fire place and a big TV and lots of cookies and candies available at all times...and popcorns are being made every evening around 5 when people start coming back from the mountain - the whole Lodge smells like popcorns ( and there is nothing better on a cold evening :) ). The food is by far the best I ever had in any type of lodging - they acctually have a menu for the breakfast and you choose what you want and its included in the price. Their son is the chef and he is excellent! They also offer dinner in their restaurant. The rooms and the whole Lodge are impeccably clean and the Lodge itself is in overall good condition. And they also have wireless internet connection there, and a very good one, which for me was a big plus. I enjoyed my stay A LOT and can not wait to go back soon. I also am looking forward to a summer weekend there since they do have an outdoor pool. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Home away from home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/11/08
This property is a gem. I felt right at home from the moment I walked into their lodge. Bruce, the owner, welcomed me with a short tour of the property. This is no Marriott or Hilton which is what I'm used to but a warm and welcomed place to stay. They have a large living room where everyone can read, watch TV, warm up by the fire or have a drink (full service bar) and an excellent dining room where the meals are better than any restaurant in the area. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. My kids loved this place and want to go back again. When I asked them if they wanted to come back to VT, they told me only if they could stay at the Nordic Hills Lodge. If that's not a testimonial, I don't know what is.

We want to move in!
By Dan, 7/8/06
My girlfriend, my cat, and I stayed at this inn for the July 4 holiday weekend and all enjoyed it immensely! The rooms are comfy and well maintained (with ideally designed window ledges in the "pet friendly" rooms to perch on and covertly monitor the activities going on in the mysterious nearby woods). The atmosphere at the lodge is delightful: the owners are gracious and attentive and filled with good advice; the common areas, including 2 spacious sitting rooms w/ large flat screen tvs, and a fully stocked bar (tended with good humor by the owner), are relaxing and fun; and the other guests, many of whom appear to be regulars, are animated and friendly. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the breakfasts: far from the ordinary toast/cereal/bagel/juice menu characteristic of "breakfast included" offerings, Nordic Hills offers a full menu of scrumptious and filling items (apple cinamoun pancakes, omlettes, home fries, etc.) prepared with genuine enthusiasm and pride by the owners. Oh-- and the Lodge is equipped with wireless internet, which puts Nordic Hills on the technological frontier for Vermont inns! To console ourselves for having to leave, we booked rooms for an extended August stay with family. We can't wait to return!

Really, It's a bed and breakfast!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/2/06
We enjoyed our stay at Nordic Hills. The decor was warm, homey, charming, if quaint. There were many "collectibles." A lot of love went into their selection and display. The cuckoo clock delighted my grands. So did the game room, with the large screen TV in an adjoining lounge. They also made off with more cookies than they should have. Wireless was an unexpected bonus The quality and freshness of ingredients as well as the excellent preparation resident in our meals was a rare find!!!Try the Belgian Waffles!!! Valuewise, we thought it a "great buy." It was spotless and the service, superb. After all, we were not going the "5 star hotel route." We went there to ski !!! PS. They have great bus tours. We will return.

Highly Recommended
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/06
My girlfriend and I visited the Nordic Hills Lodge over President's Day weekend. Upon entering the house we were instantly surprised at how homely it was. The owners of the lodge are very friendly while attending to your every need. We were so happy with the surrounds that we inquired about staying an extra night during the busy holdiday weekend and were accomodated without any questions asked. The breakfast was just out of this world. We without hesitation will be going back to the Nordic Hills Lodge and recommnend this place to everyone.

Amazing! Can't wait to come back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/06
The inn is warm and comfortable, just like home. Our kids loved the place. Wonderful hosts and great food. The dinners rival any five star restaurant! We highly recommend the Nordic and can't wait to come back!

Excited about returning
The Nordic Hills Lodge was a warm, delightful experience. Our family spent three restful nights. The breakfast was delicious and dinner was even better. I asked to speak to the chef to compliment him on the meals. He was very gracious. When leaving, the Korb's were very helpful with our exit out. We can't wait until we return.

Not a place for children
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/31/06
Although the inn views itself as "children-friendly" - that is the furthest thing from the truth. We just returned from the weekend there with our daughter - and she was treated with dis-respect and with distaste. The food is marginally good, the guest rooms small and the decorating is in poor taste (unless you like ducks!!) My advice - go somewhere else

We love the place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/06
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there - the food is great and the rooms comfortable and clean. The owners are terrific hosts, couldn't ask for nicer people. They bent over backwards for us giving us a hot breakfast and onto the slopes before 8am. Great location too - on the back road into Mt Snow, missing the congestion of the main road. If there was a downside to the weekend, it was the rude New York crowd with unruly children. As a fellow New Yorker, I was truly embarrassed and felt so sorry for the owners.

average, very average!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/16/06
The Inn is clean & the location is good, but the food is marginal, at best! If it's not a big inconvenisence, go out & eat! Breakfast is served too late (8-10am), I want to be at the mountain skiing by 8AM, not getting ready to eat breakfast! Some of the rooms are really nice (the ones on the main floor), others are small for any more than 2 guests. Nordic Hills Lodge is a very average placeto stay for the $$$.
