Terrible service, nasty room
"Your room was thoughtfully prepared by Mildred" or so the courtesy card read in my King suite with a jacuzzi.
First, the bed was made and ready for guests except that the sheets were SOAKED (apparently water but it's hard to say for sure.) The night clerk offered more bedding but the mattress was saoked too. A half dozen towels over the area (30x36 inches) covered it enough to get some sleep with some fresh sheets and a fresh blanket. The jacuzzi tub took nearly an hour to fill up and the coffee maker filled the filter cup but not the decanter.
I wonder which part they put any thought into. . .
To make matters worse, the manager (Angela) took 4 days to get in touch with me (via email) and offered me a $15 refund on a $190 room. Apparently hotel manangers at Baymont don't work on weekends. The customer srevice line is different than the web site indicates and each operator handles their own cases (and there are only a few operators) so if yours is out that day, you just have to wait.
The continental breakfast was good but I question why the French toast was cold and had to be microwaved. It really kind of ruins it.
I had to dispute the credit card charge.
I would NOT recommend the Baymont Inn to anyone unless you have messy kids, dogs that aren't house trained, or are a smoker looking for a low grade hotel that won't care what you do to the room.
