Delightful, private and romantic
By Alan MM, 1/12/09
Such a cheerful and engaging country inn with the most delicious lunches an dinners! The recent renovation to the common areas of this fine establishment is astonishing and nicer than any inn or manse in which we have stayed. It is a unique combination of elegance and quaintness which we have not previously experienced in our extensive travels. We cannot share enough compliments about the fine food or the wine list. The presentations are meticulous and delectable at a fraction of what one would pay in a big city, i.e. London or Paris. We enjoyed a fireplace room which was perfect for snuggling as the nights were already getting cold. And the innkeeper provides free bicycles and paddle boats which were ideal for daytime adventures!

I Would Not Stay Here Again
By LH, 10/20/08
Likes: Scenic grounds, nice bedding Dislikes: No elevator - you must carry your bags up and down multiple levels of steps. There was no concierge. It became tiring during my stay to constantly have to travel up winding flights of stairs. Limited service - it was hard to find staff. There is no one around after 7 or 8 p.m. (A staff member is on the grounds in a mobile home, but no one is inside the inn to assist guests) The phone is answered by a recording and there is no way to connect with guests in your party by dialing the front desk. Also, if you arrive after 7 or 8 p.m., there is no one on site to assist you and they will simply leave your room key (not a keycard) will be left on a table in the main area of the hotel and your room door will be left open. Loud parties on the grounds - They have room on the grounds that is used for receptions and parties and it was very loud late into the night, which made it impossible to sleep. There was loud bass from the music and noise from the guests. -The accommodations were outdated and old. The bathroom looks like it had not been refurbished in at least 30 years. The tile was worn, the cabinets were beat and the water from the bathroom faucets had a bad odor. It felt gross being in there. -The registration/common area had an odor as if the inn has suffered water damage at some point. -They have a set of wooden stairs on the side of the building and there are large gaps between the stairs and no lighting on that staircase at night. The staircase ends in an unlit area that is surrounded by shrubs and bushes. Be careful with small pets or children on these stairs and I would not use them at night. -None of the doors of the inn are secured at night so anyone can come in through any entrance. -The bedroom windows do not open.

Kent Manor Inn a great place for business meetings
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/9/08
I have nothing but good to say about the Inn. The association that I work for decided to stay here for our Board of Director's meeting. The service and food was simply outstanding. This will be the site for many meetings in the future.

The Perfect Wedding
By Erin, 5/19/05
Kent Manor provided everything for the perfect wedding day. My husband and I were married there last year and things couldn't have been better. The staff is very accomodating and even managed to calm a nervous bride. I never had a problem with any of the staff and we couldn't have asked for better food. My husband and I scouted the wedding location and had dinner at Kent Manor several times. The food was always tremendous. The price for rooms was a tad costly but worth the overall experience.
