Golden Odyssey Hotel, Rodos

This hotel was great! Very clean and you never had to fight for a sun lounger in the day. The food was not so good for the first few days as we went at the end of June when it was not so busy so not much variety. After that there was a good selection of salads, fish meat etc. The area was brilliant too. The beach wasnt too far by foot but much easier to get the bus. We hired a quad bike for a couple of days - a great way to explore the island of rhodes. Scuba diving is also a great experience - highly reccommended.The water park in falaraki was a brill day out we went twice. Lindos and the Acropolis is worth a visit the views are spectacular. The butterfly valley was a bit dissapointing as we expected to see more, but still an experience. Rhodes town is also a great place to go, the old town and new town both have plenty of shops both high-street and souveniers. Rhodes itself is a wonderful place if you like sight-seeing and a relaxing holiday all in one! We will definately go back to this area - Kolymbia as it is in the middle of the island so you get to see everything! Finally, those reviews that say the staff are rude are completely FALSE, if you treat them with respect they will do the same to you. Nikos is a great guy! We hope this review has helped you have an idea of rhodes and kolymbia and this hotel because it is certainly worth a visit!

we have just returned from our first all inclusive 2 weeks as a family of 2 adults and three children. (June 2006). On arrival were were instantly impressed with the look of the hotel and bungalows, clean and bright. pool is good size for adults with good infant pool integrated. we had maid service every day to change towels and clean, then change bed linen every three-four days. the all inclusive meals were absolutley fantastic, there was a great choice of cold or hot food, veg or meat dishes.(be prepared to put on weight??!!)the head waiter was brilliant very attentive and helpful with explaining what the speciality dishes were. same goes for the bar staff very friendly. after this review i only have one very small grievance and that was that we were told on arrival (31/5) that the Air-con does not go on until 15th june, we left on 14th??!! this could be made clearer to holiday makers, as the evenings were very sticky.but hey if this was only complaint then i think you will say that it is a minor one. there were no kids activities laid on for the evenings, but once they had made some friends they did not seem to notice!! the complex looks a whole lot better in real life than the pictures posted on the holiday companies web-sites, i think they need to update their pictures.
