Hotel Ananas, Alanya

A very good hotel with very attentitive and friendly staff. the rooms were kept spotlessly clean every day and the food was delightfully laid out.Unfortunately the beach opposite had rocks and stones on so we preferred to walk towards Alanya town about half a mile to John's beach where you got looked after and really spoilt the beach attendant making sure I did not get sunburnt.It is necessary to catch the dolmus to get into the town to the market and shops but these are so cheap and frequent that it is not a problem although one must take great care crossing the busy main road back into the hotel.It is advisable to arrange your own trips as it is so much cheaper than the Reps. are selling and do not miss a picnic where you sit with your feet in the river so cooling and pleasant and we hired an English speaking taxi driver from outside the Banana Hotel to take us on a grand tour of the region ata very modest price but do ask the price first before you go.Mangavat Falls are well worth a visit and we went there by 'bus from Alanya town centre and the dolmus driver took us to the 'bus depot and purchased the tickets on our behalf where else in the world would you get that kind of service???.All in all an excellent holiday that I could recommend to the most discerning holiday maker.
