Tahitian Inn, Tampa

First of all the service was great. I planned the trip to Tampa and stayed there because of the shuttle to the crusie ship. I was pleasantly suprised by the rooms and the boutique feel. I recommend for others to stay there.

I stayed at the hotel because of the reviews. From check in to check out they staff was extremely accomodiating and friendly. There service was better then the big boys. They truely care about each guest. We took full advantage of all of the ammenities. I could not believe they had a spa, gym, restaurant in a boutique hotel. They even had turn down service in my room. I would highly recommend.

The service was great, rooms were fantastic. They have made a ton of improvements. It is such a hidden gem. I rather stay there then the big corporate hotels.

I loved this place. It reminded me of old Florida (South Beach). Service was most excellent. Water pressure was wonderful. Beds were very comfortable. Cafe was decent, just a tad pricey. The grounds were beautiful. Close to everything in Tampa. They allowed us to leave our car there while we were on our cruise, saving us the $14./day charge that the port. Gave us transportation there and back for free. Transportation was prompt and efficient. The only think I didn't like was the music coming from the pool (they had a singer out there) and it was a little on the louder side. It was very nice music and it ended early, but we were very tired and wanted to sleep a little. We will come back....we really enjoyed our day there.

There was not one think to like about the cheesy inn. The food was terrible, had the sirloin i think mc donalds angus beef is better than it. The spa was so small that i could hear the person next to me getting a massage. nothing peaceful about it. Thank god that the damn shuttle driver had his thing together, and made us going to the cruise port a breeze. They young guys name was cris and he def deserved the 20 dollar tip that i gave him, because he should get out of that place. The rooms smelt like mildew, all the rooms are clean, but i had to switch rooms because the rooms had termites. And not to mention the worst water pressure to take a shower. Overall it was just terrible and i never do this but i had to get it off my chest.

i went to tampa and stayed at the tahitian in for 4 days. when we checked in the staff was very helpful, the room we stayed in was large and very comfortable. the pool area was beautiful and at night with the lights on was great, the only thing was the bugs. it is of no fault of the hotel , we were sitting around the pool and the mosquitos were out in full force they actually ran us back into the hotel room. the location is good because you are close to so many places and i would reccommed it to any one staying in tampa the prce was right and that staff was great.

The pictures are not reality; and you'd be better off taking your hard earned dollars to a more known establishment. Objectively speaking, there are only 2 things going for this Motel: location relative to the distance to the airport and pool area. The room had a damp feel to it, a hole in the wall, patchwark in the bathroom tilework, insufficient towels, and well the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Reagan administration, and the piping in the rooms are from years before that. Take the construction happening across the street and you won't be sleeping much past 6am. I had a long term booking and due to March break constraints couldn't change my stay. I was sold based on the picutres - I'm hopeful you won't be; this place is not worth it.

I have to say, after staying at the Tahitian Inn I was not excited about going home. I felt like royalty with the way I was treated. When I needed directions for the convention I was attending, the front desk staff was more than happy to assist me. Jorge was exceptional and I can not wait to go again!

I travel to Tampa frequently on business and always stay at the Tahitian Inn. You're not just a room number here. Great work-out and steamroom. Spa on site and great restaurant and bar.

I have never completed a review of a hotel, but after our recent visit to the Tahitian Inn Hotel Spa, I felt more compelled than ever to write one. The room itself was subpar. The room smelled, the shower curtain had mold on it and the carpet wasn't safe to walk on with the your barefeet. Please don't fall for the bogus pictures the INN shows. The pictures are of the spa portion of the INN. I arranged for my girlfriend to get a facial and a massage from the spa. Big mistake. I'm warning you all don't use the spa. My girlfriend ended up bleeding for 2 days b/c of the facial. Sounds great, right? Well it gets better. I wish I wouldn't have pre-paid for the $140 facial/massage, b/c the manager wasn't helpful at all, infact she didn't care. It took them 5 days to call us b/c apparently the manager has her own hours(strange, but nothing surprises me now about this place). When someone finally called it wasn't even the manager. I tried to get a refund for the awful facial my girlfriend received, but was told, "They don't believe in refunds". Then they proceeded to tell me it was my girlfriends fault she had a reaction to the oils & lotions and they did nothing wrong. Not sure, but the last time I checked your face doesn't bleed for 2 days b/c of oils & lotions. Maybe that's an indication of the type of products they are using? The individual that called said we should have said something that day. Well we did call(twice) and were told to talk to the manager, who of course sets her own hours and was unavailable and infact is still unavailable. Just so you understand how awful this experience was I have submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. In summation, if you're looking to have an awful weekend then please by all means stay at this hotel.
