Would never recommend this place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/09
My sister and I made reservations through AAA in early September '09 for.for a 2 queen beds room on September 27. We arrived at 11:45 a.m. on the day of our confirmed reservation and were told that we did not have a room because "the toilet is broken and we can't get a plumber today." My sister said, "Well, give us another room then. It's obvious not everybody has checked in yet." The manager said she absolutely could not do that as each room was pre-assigned, couldn't be changed, and as it happened our assigned room had a broken toilet that could not be promptly repaired. She then said she'd made reservations for us at a bed and breakfast. I asked if it was on the Zion shuttle route and she said no, it was in a nearby town and not serviced by the shuttle. The shuttle was a big reason we chose to stay in Springdale. I then asked if the room had 2 queen beds and she said it did and handed me the reservation form. It clearly said there was 1 queen bed! By then I was more than a little annoyed, but the manager didn't seem the least concerned. My sister said we wanted to stay in Springdale and we wanted 2 queen beds. The manager said there were no vacancies in Springdale. But it turned out another person in the Bumbleberry office made a call and there was at least one vacancy right next door. The problem was it was a suite (which we did not need!) and cost considerably more than the Bumbleberry. We ended up staying there and it was ok though not worth $156 and it was very odd that there was a fully equipped kitchen including a large coffee maker but absolutely none of those coffee packets usually provided in hotels and motels. I asked in the office for coffee and she said they didn't have any on the premises but she'd call the Shell gas station and see if they'd sell me some! Zion National Park is absolutely stunning, but when I return I will most definitely not stay at the Bumbleberry! And if I'll look for a place that makes it possible to have in room coffee.

Comfortable--not fancy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/09
The room was small but clean. It was nice to have a balcony to sit on and enjoy the scenery. Our building was in the back and was very quiet. Having the city bus stop streetside was convenient in getting to Zion.We would not recommend the restaurant. My pancakes were as tough as leather and the coffee was luke warm. I asked the waitress for hot coffee and what she brought was not any warmer.

What are people talking about??
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/09
We have visited the Bumbleberry serveral times and the rooms are very nice and quite and the staff is very helpful and help in any way they can. The rooms are clean and in the middle of town close to all shops and cafe's. Rates are most reasonable in springdale. The only place to stay.

We will not go back!
By Arvid R. Bloom, 10/29/08
Staff tried but entire structure needs total, major updating and remodeling. The rooms were good sized but carpet worn, wallpaper loose in places, drapes partially off track, carpet worn. The hallways were dirty and it did not appear they were ever cleaned during our stay. There are other places in Springdale that would be a better choice. We did not stay as long as planned.

Never stayiing there again
By Tim, 10/22/08
This place was dirty, hair on bathroom floor, dirt in hallway, dirty carpet, very outdated, light fixtures date from 1960's. Even after complainng, Manger remained rude and unfriendly, refused to give discount at first, then agreed to give 10% discount a night.

pass on this one
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/24/08
the owners were the most rude people that I had ever encountered at a motel. The place is old, the gift shop is half empty and run down, the bumbleberry pie is good but $6.00 per slice, and the resturant didn't open for breakfast until 8:00am. This motel is NOT the closest(to Zion) or the best in town, the only saving grace of the weekend was the Zion Park itself, any lesser expierence would have really made me mad about the Bumbleberry Inn.

Re-opened, better food, service not
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/08
Having been there for 30 years, the new western decor is very welcome and improved the tired old decor! Food is better too. However, the service was terribly slow, uncoordinated and half plates had apparently sat in back for 15 min. (read quite cold) waiting for others (3/14/08). Would wait at least a month until they get the bugs worked out. Bet it will be a staple restaurant again, and looks promising, but service is the issue.

Take care when booking on line
By Rebecca, 06/13/07
We used on the online booking form to book with Bumbleberry and had some problems with this. Despite calling them and emails, when we arrived they had made our booking for the wrong month, with no free rooms. We ended up staying in Hurricane (10 miles away). I would advise anyone wanting to stay here to book over the phone and insist on a formal "confirmation form". That said, the location of this Inn is ideal for anyone wishing to visit Zion NP, and Springdale is a great town.

Sending me friends!
By kalman, 08/07/06
There may be fancier places around but this one was clean and had the best location. The bathroom was tight. The scenery from the balcony was magnificent. Shuttle bus to Zion was at the parking lot entrance. Walking distance to several restaurants and shops. Coffee shop down the block had internet to get airline boarding passes. Enjoy a piece of pie.
