Bay Harbour Motor Lodge, Forked River

Bay Harbour Motor Lodge in Forked River, NJ, is old and dismal. The rates are overpriced. We paid $155 for one night. The beds are covered with plastic, over the plastic there are sheets that don't fit the bed, so you basically slide around on all night. None of the electric receptacles in the room worked except one in which one lamp was plugged in. The carpet in room was dirty. The management is very rude. Would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

The check out was at 11am, and my girlfriend and I overslept. The front office called us at 11 on the dot, and when we told them we were sorry, and told them we were hurrying to vacate the room they gave us a total attitude. At 11:20 while I was brushing my teeth, they turned off the air conditioner from the front desk...can you imagine??!!! Who runs a business like this?!...do they not want me to come back, or recommend them?! The room smelled like a sewer, and the bathroom was unsanitary...stay clear!!!!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. VERY RUDE STAFF WHO CAN BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH.

I wasn't crazy about the price, but the room was clean and the location is great.

we stayed here 3 or 4 times, the last being Labor day weekend. they screamed at us for leaving our bushel of live crabs ( that took us all day to catch) outside in the parking lot,in crab baskets with lids on. We took a SMALL gas grill to cook a couple of hot dogs and hamburgers on in the grass......well they yelled at us for that.........NO GRILLS allowed they yelled they acted like we were keeping and using the grill in our room.........never again, I am just sorry I gave them almost a $1000.00 over the summer.........cant even sit outside and drink a few beers outside your room without getting yelled at...and this all happened Labor day weekend.......we will never ever stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this place was absolutely horrible. They stand outside in the parking lot and just stare at you like you're gonna do something to the place and don't leave til your in your room. And they do the same thing the next day! They are rude and don't greet you at all. And the room stunk bad. The same thing with check out time too. They stand around and wait for you to leave. I would rather stay in a card board box then ever go back there again. Definitly not worth $150.00 or even a $1.00 to say the least.....worst experience ever

Great room service if we like your room clean at 8am! if not thay will for your comvencee passing by every 10 minuts, love looking in your roomand you car all day. Watching you 24/7. But hay you have a pool..bring your chairs, only 3 at the pool,don't use it more than once a day, then they won't hassel you.The only plus to the pool is that it was very clean. I guess it would be simce no one uses it.Oh please use ice bucket only once DON'T fill a cooler (we had a small drink size). Bring towels, thier towels...well TP would work better :) The staff (owers) have new meaning to being rude, pointing thier finger at you because you use to much ice, in and out of the pool..ect...we were going to stay a week, visiting family stayed only 2 days never,never again. It a shame, it has a pool and lawn for kids but they can't use it

I loved this motel with its comfortable bed and its beautiful location. I enjoyed my 2 nights there and will go there everytime I go by the hotel. It was peaceful and quiet.

There were cigeratte burn holes in the blanket and the comforter. The sheet was ripped and the bottom of the tub was dirty. The room smelled and the hardware was falling off the bureau and you could practally see through the towels. We will never stay there again nor recommed it to anyone!

location was o.k. , but only because of personal circumstances. Service is third world. There is no value to this joint at any price, but especially at 139. night. Maybe 13.9 night and only out of desperation.
