Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/20/10
This hotel was fantastic, I stayed in the Cinema Suites and everything was very nice. Breakfast they had coffee, muffins, juice, yogurt, fruit, granola bars, and water bottles. They had plenty of options. The location is of course great because its within walking distance to everything and you get free parking. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Creepy meets old trailer park in a good location
By BillP, 7/11/09
The web pictures are deceiving. I am sitting here in a suite suite and looking at my grandmothers old chair and a couch that has a K Mart throw on top of it. Picture the cheapest faucet at Lowes.....and now picture it 15 years old. Picture a white ceramic cheap tile shower....now picture it with that hard to get out mold in the bottom portion. If you want nice and romantic, spend $40 more and dont be dissapointed..

Fantastic Hotel!
By johns, 12/14/08
We were only in Wilmington for one night, and couldn't decide where to stay. Quite pleased that we selected The Wilmingtonian. The hotel is in a great location with attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Has a nice historic feel to it also. The bed was very comfortable and the room was overall very clean. Service was excellent. Only down side was that they did not have a restaurant open on the property, so we were force to walk all of two blocks to fantastic place to eat on a monday night, Circia 1922.

Front Street Inn a lot better!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/16/08
Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Was never asked how my stay was or invited back. While the place is clean minus the huge flying bug thing I will never go back. Pictures are not at all what you're going to get. After being overcharged and fighting weeks with hotel to get money back and no mangers are ever there and no one can contact them if there is a problem. Don't waste your money.

Can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/06
Very nice, cozy, and staff were great. Hotel within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, and lots of shops. You can park your car and not drive anywhere for the weekend! Rooms are themed for different movies, very unique

Money NOT well spent
By Amanda, 7/5/06
I recently stayed at the Wilmingtonian and was NOT impressed. The rooms were a combination of beach meats Grandma's house. The furniture was outdated and the couch looked dirty, my family and I would not even sit on it. The breakfast goodie bag was a waste of money and I wish that I could have taken it out of our of the price. The pastery was less than tasty and if you do not like or eat yogurt, then it is wasted. The website lists that there are "gardens" and they are really just a back yard with a patio and a cheap waterfall. The pictures on the website make you think you are staying in a lavish place. Then when you pull up, the office is in a small dingy looking building. The website makes sure to ONLY take pictures of the house that is used as the resturant and makes you think that you will also be staying in the big mansion. Instead, you have a room that opens to the outside and is less than lavish. Next time, I would rather spend my money at the Holiday Inn. The only saving grace is that it is located in downtown.

Extraordinary!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/14/05
My son and his new wife spent their pre-honeymoon here and in their haste to reach their Honeymoon destination, left a very nice monetary gift behind. The staff picked it up and packed it away in their safe. They called immediately to tell us that it had been found. Extraordinary service! Extraordinary place!

Best hotel in Wilmington
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/22/04
My wife and I have stayed in both the de rosset house (Cupola suite) and the Clarendon (2-bedroom suite)in October and November. The Clarendon house experiences some noise on the weekends due to the jazz bar below--so we prefere the other houses. The rooms we have stayed in are clean, spacious, and unique. The staff will bend over backward to accomodate your needs. We will continue to stay at the Wilmingtonian when we vacation in Wilmington. For a nice dinner, try the Grill Room.
