Very Good. Rubber meets the road, Plus!

It gives me that old sense of "hotel" from being a kid and my parents sprung for a room at the Howard Johnson over against some distant relative's. But like, if that same safe, clean, trusted Ho Jo's was brought up to speed into the millenium.
The rooms are remodeled with fresh aesthetics for the look of modern upgrades, but there are still remnants of its former glory. Sort of like lipstick on the family dog. Stainless steel GE microwave and old, low end beige refrigerator. 2-eye, Sleek in-counter Ceramic glass stove top. Granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, older basic tub and toilet. Flat screen style TV in living room, old boxy tv in bedroom. You won't write home about it, but you will be comfortable. It's clean, spacious, designed for long term stay. My particular corner suite has an awesome panaramic set of windows that wrap the corner of the hotel- which wraps the living room, and dining area.
Really good rates, especially for long term stays.
Pretty good location to commute in Westchester 'burbs, but dwell in some civilization with walking acces to restaurants, the 42 Blue Viewing spot, lounges, malls, stores: from Wal Mart to Macy's. Not really a walk to the nicer Westchester mall in extreme weather, but it's not far. few blocks from train station, with express to Grand Central.
The PLUS is an amazing staff who are all clearly recruited and trained to promote a family-like environment for guests. Very warm, and Helpful team of folks at this location. These folks made me want to get online and write a review of this otherwise, North-of-average hotel when I haven't bothered to make even a "thumbs up" comment on the Ritz Carlton, Intercontinental, or W hotels I've stayed at this year.
Choose this if you need the amenities for a long term stay or the space for a group. Fine for any type of traveler.
